Dec 2017: Just recently moved in. People at the front desk aren’t on the same page. My packages get lost and they don’t know where they are, unorganized. Phones rarely answered. I’m continuously having to go to the office to get my questions answered. Staff unreliable and not prepared. Price is alright, you pay rent and amenities which is well over a grand on top of that you call and set up your own electricity and gas that you have to pay. Hall ways very cold because it’s open, cold comes through the front door. But the apartment itself is beautiful and great. I love the apartment and amenities haha, everything else like the staff just need more training, need to be more prepared or communicate honestly and clearly. I would have had a much better experience instead of getting surprised on some charges that I wasn’t informed. I’m not trying Review from Google Dec 2017: This place is absolutely beautiful! As an architecture enthusiast, when I walked in to our top-floor apartment I felt like I was stepping into heaven itself with its 13-foot ceilings everywhere. Everything is thoughtfully designed and immaculate. The whole place just screams quality. I would recommend this place to everyone.
Yes, people will inevitably have negative experiences with apartment staff because life happens and you (rightly) want them to fix it; when they don't immediately know how, it's easy to be upset. But from all my experiences with them, they've been nothing but nice, doing their best to be helpful.
Now as for parking, my wife and I have just one car, so ours is an easy situation unlike some people's. Last week when parking enforcement started, we were given two parking passes, one covered and one not. If that's how it is f Review from Google Dec 2017: If you had asked me last week if I recommended the place I live, I would have said yes. This is no longer the case. Recently they took away our parking privileges. In my lease it was very clear that parking permits would not be given out. We recently got an email stating that we could come pick up our parking passes- felt completely random, but my 3 other roommates and I went to pick up passes. The manager told us that we only get two per apartment. She told us this has always been the rule of the complex. I have lived here for 4 months and I have heard nothing of permits, and nothing has been even close to being enforced. My roommate has lived here for over a year and has never heard anything of parking rules and laws. I will recommend this place to no one. How can professional commuting-adults live anywhere that does not allow their tenant Review from Google Dec 2017: I moved here in August with some of my best friends and we loved it. We haven't had any issues up until this past week. Parkway Lofts just changed their parking policy so that only two people per apartment can park here. For the last five months we've lived here parking has been free game. No parking passes or assigned spots, anyone and everyone could park here. This isn't student housing but they specifically cater to students on their website by saying "located right next to the UVU campus". I have six roommates and only two of us can park here even though just last week everyone could park here. We were never informed about this new parking policy until two days ago when we received an email. It was not in our lease nor was it even written specifically in the written notice we received. I went and talked to the manager about this new policy Review from Google Nov 2017: Do not, and will not ever recommend! don't get me wrong, there are some good things about this complex; the apartments themselves are very nice, and modern, and the amenities are unparalleled to anything else in Orem. The positive ends there. When we moved into our apartment it was very dirty with construction dust, we were the very first people to live in that unit and expected it to be clean, but were sadly mistaken. Management will say anything to make you happy, but then doesn't follow through with any of their promises. Let me just run you through some of the false promises so that you know what to expect:
They told us that we could add a garage at any time, as long as there was one available- Not true, and there are still PLENTY available that they will not let us pay for.
Review from 11/24/17 on Google Nov 2017: DO NOT RENT HERE IF YOU ARE WORRIED ABOUT BEING ABLE TO AFFORD IT!!! My wife and I moved here right after we were married. Its a nice place with many perks but to break our lease you need to pay 60 days rent after the date you will move out so for our 1 bedroom would be $2400!!! So once your in the apartment they make it to expensive to leave. Now you are one of the new parkway lofts prisoners doing whatever time your signed up for. My advice from our experience is unless you at least $3500 a month total you will not be able to afford this place.
Review from 11/24/17 on Google Nov 2017: The apartments are very modern and very cute. However, the price of these apartments is terrible. First of all, my rent is contracted to be $1190 for a 1 bedroom 1 bath including a garage (which they never gave me a clicker for the entire time living there even after I bugged them for ages to get one). You are responsible for your own utilities just like any other place BUT you are ALSO responsible for your buildings utility usage as a whole. That means your paying your own gas and electric but you have to pay the common area electric usage. My rent has NEVER been what I agreed to.
Review from 11/3/17 on Google Oct 2017: Moved in a recently and I've been nothing but impressed with the complex. I had to move out of my old place a few days before I could move in here. They let me borrow a garage so I was able to move my stuff just once, instead of having to use a storage unit in between moves. Friendly staff and nice amenities. Having a smart home has also been nice.
Review from 10/5/17 on Google Sep 2017: I just moved in and I have loved the place so far! They have incredible amenities that are always at your use such as bowling alley, rock wall, outdoor pool, and movie theatre. The apartments a very beautiful and spacious I loaded all my furniture that was packed in my old apartment and it doesn't even feel like I have anything in there. Everything is new and up to date and if you like smart homes this is a great apartment. The staff is very friendly and will let you know anything that you ask. Make sure you ask a lot of questions about move in and what you need they are still getting a feel for things so some information fell through the cracks. I have loved my short time living here and I'll let you know if anything changes.
Review from 9/16/17 on Google Sep 2017: I've lived here for a year now and it's the most amazing place you could possibly be. Due to Theo vivint security system I feel 100% safe leaving and living in my home. It's also pretty quiet although we're right by a college dorm living area. Plus free bowling whenever I want is the best thing ever!
