Dec 2015: At first I thought Gateway would be a good bargain and a great, yet cheap option for student housing.
However, they don't respect roommate pairing requests. Not a crisis, but when you've promised, that's a big deal.
Also, they've changed the website. It used to be very different, but none of the photos are even close to reality. Ask to see an actual apartment, nothing like the model.
False advertising abounds, which isn't uncommon, but they advertise gated community, yet refuse to use the gate.
As a result, safety is miserable. Three times this year we got notices about gun-shots in the complex. Parties rage all night and pot can be smelled everywhere.
The grounds are filthy. The grass is covered in dog crap and the speed bumps will hurt your car.

Aug 2015: Lived here last year and never had a problem until the new management and staff took over (other than the fact that the gate NEVER EVER worked). The new people in office have been so rude ever time that I, my roommates, or my roommates' parents have went to talk with them. Maintenance requests are never resolved. There is ALWAYS a party going on, even on school nights and no matter how much you complain nothing is ever done about it (maybe because those who are throwing the parties also work in the office). They took forever to inform us about the shootings and nothing was done about it..the gate still didn't work.

Jul 2015: I lived at Gateway for 3 years. The front gate has worked maybe 30 days out of the 3 years that I've been here. The first year, I lived in building 15 on the third floor. If you're going to live at Gateway, it's worth paying $10 more each month for the third floor because you don't have to hear people moving around above you. The "hardwood floors" are actually some sort of laminate. It's not actually hardwood.
The second year that I lived here, I was in building 14 (new roommates). Located right next to the dumpster, you can smell the stench every evening when it's humid. The wifi sucked in this building.

Feb 2014: First year living here. Pretty decent- great prices. Good location and not much traffic when trying to go to school. It's a good place to live if you're looking for something cheap and to get by with. Friendly staff and neighbors. I love having a washer and dryer in the apartment. Feb 2014: This is my second year living here. I like Gateway apartments. It is reasonably priced and the staff is wonderful. There is NOTHING better than living somewhere with staff that knows you by name (even when I was there for a month) and trying to address any issues. My maintenance issues are handled immediately.
