Apr 2017: I lived here for 2 years and they really put an effort into doing a good job roommate matching whereas most other places do not. The maitenance requests were always handled in a timely manner and the office staff was more than willing to help with any problems or concerns. I also love having a gym in the complex!
Review from 4/23/17 on Google Apr 2017: Really awesome place, especially since it's cheaper than almost any other place I looked in at. Office staff is also super helpful (shout out to XXXX). I lived here for a year and moved out because a friend of mine had a house that we rented for a year and the whole time I missed the Woodlands. I'm back now and I don't plan on renting anywhere else.
Review from 4/10/17 on Google Feb 2017: Infested with cockroaches. Worst place to live. Car break ins. Outrageous fees for everything! Management is awful and won't do anything about the problems here. All of the good reviews are the kids who work in the office. This place is awful.
Review from 2/23/17 on Google Aug 2016: Perhaps The Best Secret in Town Not sure what the other reviews are talking about because I had a great experience here. I actually met some great people who live here while I was there. This place is perfect distance from campus with a lot of parking plus the shuttle can drop you off without hassles of driving to get to class. For the price especially the 4 bedroom units is a great deal since I already have my own bed. I would have definitely chosen live here again if looking for a place. I love the nature trail to the river especially after class. I wish City of Knoxville would put in better parking at the park but I just walked there as my place was close.
Review from 8/13/16 on Apartment Ratings Aug 2016: ahh.. where do I begin. First of all, all of those reviews about the clubhouse and prizes and whatever are by people who work there and dont let anyone tell you otherwise lol. just look them up for yourself on fb. Living in the Woodlands was one of the worst choices I ever made. First off they charge you to print here and its not even nice. The weight room is disgusting and they dont have cleaner to wipe down any of the machines, all of the dumbbellls are missing, and the "5" pools are community pools because everyone in south knoxville goes there so if you pay to live there and want to swim then sucks for you.
Review from 8/1/16 on Apartment Ratings May 2016: Just watched cars in the parking lot being vandalized and broken into for several minutes. Thirty minutes later, the Knoxville PD shows up and still no sight of The Woodlands of Knoxville 'courtesy officer'. Guess safety is not a priority here...
Review from 5/2/16 on Google Mar 2016: Management has been great helping us lease this apartment. they have installed ceiling fans. They have helped us get place ready to lease. Grounds are kept beautifully. Townhouse has great big bedrooms upstairs. Need to get blackout curtains to keep room cool. Dec 2015: This is the worst place I've ever lived in my life. The management and employees are awful. Our apartment wasn't even cleaned the day we moved in. We called they said they got behind and would have someone out to our room immediately to have it cleaned.. That was August 7th... Here we are December 8th. Still not cleaned. Our floor was pulled up said they would replace it and come out and measure for the piece. Measured in October and still no new flooring. All the vents have mold, there's not one light fixture in our home that has all of its lights, our pantry had mold, our garbage disposal does not work, our fridge was broke the day we moved in, did not get a replacement until November. All three toilets in our apartment either overflow or do not flush.
Review from 12/9/15 on Google Nov 2015: if you like mold, this is the place, management would do nothing about it. Even after they "cleaned" the place before we moved in, everything had a slimy film on it....and it wasnt ready when we were told ....had to leave our stuff in the hall. If i didnt have a lease, i would have been gone immediately....do yourself a favor.....look elseware
Review from 11/30/15 on Google Nov 2015: Take my advice and don't LIVE HERE. Here's a small list of why:
-infested with cockroaches.
-outrageous fines for nothing.
-rent is NOT prorated.
-it's in the middle of no where. can't walk to class or get food.
-much more expensive than advertised.
-the "afternoon and night shuttle" are fake.
-CAR BREAK INS
Review from 11/5/15 on Google Feb 2015: I have lived at the Woodlands for almost a year now. Personally, I've loved my time here. First, all the bad reviews about management issues are NOT true. The woman everyone seems to have complained about either doesn't work here anymore or I've never seen her. Our apartment was spotless when we moved in. The carpets were cleaned and vacuumed. The walls were painted where markings were left by previous tenants. The property manager is by far the best, most professional, and NICEST woman we've ever dealt with and I would definitely speak with her if you're interested in the Woodlands. She cares about YOU and doesn't just care about how much you pay to live here. Review from Apartment Ratings on 02/07/15 Sep 2014: I have never had a better experience at an apartment complex. This year has been incredible! Not only is the management very friendly and cooperative, but the pools are amazing and there's always something to do. Amy is the manager in the leasing office and she is the most laid back person to work with. She makes sure everyone gets taken care of. I will be sad to have to leave this complex and I would definitely recommend living here! Review on Google from a month ago Mar 2013: Had a great experience of the last few years. Nice pool and we really love the shuttle service to and from campus. Would really recommend these apartments b/c of the shuttle service and close location to campus.
