Oct 2019: Live anywhere else but here. My roommate and I have had nothing but issues on account of horrible and extremely rude management, ever since before we moved in. We were told the third room would remain vacant due to their incompetence. They lied and filled it halfway through the semester. We went through numerous roommates and they were all horrible and the management did not care at all. We had to replace our washer and other appliances countless times, and the replacements were worse than the old ones. Walls are paper thin and makes it very hard to live peacefully, on top of putting up with Brandon and the other staff. 0/10 Do not live here Review from Google Aug 2019: Lived here for less than 48 hours and I'm already fuming at the parking situation they have at my lot. I tried parking there last night and my car got towed at 5am by some college kid who was probably too drunk to stand, then had my car vandalized. Once I got my car back from the Wrecking service I was told the only place to park was on the street, once returning to my car after class I was greeted with a parking ticket. WHAT A FIASCO just to be able to park my car anywhere in a reasonable proximity to my apartment that I pay good money for. Definitely a 0/10 when it comes to parking, even at the office they admitted to not having enough parking to accommodate even a QUARTER of the residents in my building. If you own a car or drive to work this is most certainly NOT the place for you Review from Google Jul 2019: Amateur management and terrible utility providers. I was charged over $300 for a parking pass that I didn’t request. Management called me a liar and refused to refund me until I asked for the garage key - they realized that someone else had the key & had been parking there. Totally revealed how inept and unprofessional the management is.
Other aspects of this place are better: spacious, nice floor plan, nice kitchen, great location, and views of downtown from (some) balconies. Review from Google Mar 2019: Really hate the management. I paid rent on the day it was due, and then they added an electricity charge after I paid rent so it was counted late and I was charged. Management promises many things and never delivers. can't wait to leave so I don't have to deal with this place and its management ever again Feb 2019: The new management is pathetic. Work orders aren't being fulfilled, the expensive WiFi still doesn't work after 4 months, and office workers don't have a clue what's going on. I was being charged $50 a month for parking when we agreed multiple times that I didn't get parking but it's "my fault" because I "shouldn't have trusted the office workers -- they're only in college." After repeatedly calling me a liar, they realized they were wrong and refunded me the $200 and said it wouldn't happen again. 1 month later and the charge shows back up on my rent. It's insufferable how poor these people are at their jobs.
Living here is not worth dealing with them, but if you decide to live here, be sure to get any verbal agreement in writing because they will jump at any opportunity to scam you. The manager actually used "sorry, we're new at this, a lot Review from Google Dec 2018: Besides the management issues, I would not live here again because of the location and the building in general. The walls are paper thin. I am constantly being woken up by my neighbors who aren't even doing anything super loud, they are just talking in their living room which shares a wall with my bedroom. Also, my bedroom faces the street and I can hear every car that drives by. It's pretty impossible to have a quiet moment here. Review from Google Nov 2018: Absolute terrible management. They don't care about their residents. Three of us originally had a plan to live together and they somehow lost one of my roommates applications. After a stressful back and forth with management and staff, she was ultimately forced to sign a last minute lease somewhere else and we got a random roommate. My room is also above one of the parking garage doors and it is very loud when it is opened and sometimes shakes my floors and I can't sleep at night. When I asked the property manager Brandon about this, he basically just laughed in my face and said he couldn't do anything about it. Sure enough, a week later the gate broke so it shows how well they "manage" their property. This place went down hill very fast after the change in management. I've lived with the commons for 3 years, but after the change in management Review from Google Nov 2018: The new management is terrible. The office workers are not informed about literally anything to do with the property, the manager Brandon is very rude, and the management overall is the worst I’ve had to deal with throughout my time here at UT. They will also charge you extra for anything they can. To save you time and frustration, please look elsewhere for housing. Also, please do not comment on this review, giving the same PR reply you do with every bad review unless you are actually willing to change anything about your management style/team. Review from Google Nov 2018: The new management is pathetic. Work orders aren't being fulfilled, the expensive WiFi still doesn't work after 4 months, and office workers don't have a clue what's going on. I've wrongly been charged but it's "my fault" because I "shouldn't have trusted the office workers -- they're only in college." Living here is not worth dealing with them, but if you decide to live here, be sure to get any verbal agreement in writing because they will jump at any opportunity to scam you. The manager actually used "sorry, we're new at this, a lot of people are complaining" as an excuse for not keeping records. Review from Google Aug 2018: Absolutely terrible management. They are very unorganized and rude. Never told any of us anything. They originally told my roommate and I that nobody was moving into the extra bedroom and we found out, the night before, that we were getting an extra roommate. When I was moving in, they told me the move in date was May 17, but when I called, they lost my application and the room wasn’t ready. I stayed at my friends apartment for a week until they got it all figured out. not worth he money, I wish I never signed that lease. Review from Google May 2018: This apartment complex changed systems and turned off all automatic payments. They then charged us late fees and implemented a cumbersome process to address their system change. Not Satisfied! Review from Google Mar 2018: This place is great, its always lit on the weekends, neighbors are chill, always smells good, and perfect place to have fun on weekends. Huge living room and bedroom floor plans. Solid place. Love it Review from Google Mar 2018: The commons is a wonderful place, and I think everyone should visit. The people are great, and you instantly feel at home. The people who work there are very professional and helpful. They are always ready to help you with what you need. Review from Google Nov 2016: I have lived in the common son Bridge for one semester and I just resigned my lease and I love it. The apartment has stunning, durable hardwood floors. The ceilings are high and the room are super spacious. There are large windows that allow ample amounts of sunlight to enter. The living room is large enough to accompany twenty plus people. Each tenant has their own bathroom in a two bedroom along with a balcony! There is gated garage parking underneath the building. The staff at COB are more than willing to go out of their way to help with any issues that you may come across. I would highly recommend one living here if they are looking for upscale bedrooms and amenities!!
