Hi, Loading...

May 2016: I dread even giving this place a 1 star, but I had to in order to post this. This place sucks. The management is rude, ruthless and greedy. All they are is out to get your money. They over charge us by ATLEAST $6 every time we have to pay them. The apartments are WAY over priced and everything looks crappy and old. They did renovations in the kitchen while we were already living in it and they left a mess in our apartment. They also broke a couple of items of ours while they were doing the renovations because they never told us they were going into the bathroom to do some work and they moved things that they had no right to move. Nov 2015: My application was denied for an apt at the villages of chapel hill. Before completing an application they ask that I pay a refundable deposit. I payed the deposit and never received my money back. I am a hard working mother of two children. It has been a month and a half. I just want my money I have obligations that need to be met and the principal at hand is the money belonged to me. If I walked in their office and stole cash o would go to jail so why is it OK for this company to steal from me! Review from 11/05/15 on Apartment Ratings
Oct 2015: I have not moved into these apartments, but I have signed a lease and will update after move-in. My current review is based on my experience living in the area for over eights years and being a renter in the area for half that time. The complex is big, woodsy and beautiful. Smith Level is a fairly busy road, but it's big and far away enough from the road to feel like a quiet neighborhood. The prices for these units are more than reasonable for the area. This area is expensive no matter what, and the studio prices are the lowest that you will find for the quality of the complex. Again, grounds are gorgeous, the clubhouse is nice and the gym looks great. Have been apartment shopping for a couple of weeks. The Villages staff has been the most responsive and helpful throughout the process of looking through floor plans and visiting units. Th Review from Google
Oct 2015: This is a truly awful complex - avoid it at all costs. The management changed in May of this year, and the new management company is dishonest, rude, and borderline criminal. All of the recent 5-star reviews are blatant fakes posted by management - look back to reviews from June/July/August to see the truth about this place. The management tries to fraudulently claim fees they are not entitled to, routinely lies to residents, damages resident property and refuses to compensate them for it. Their recommendation percentage was down below 40% until they started spamming fake reviews. Review from 10/27/15 on Apartment Ratings
Oct 2015: This place is perfect, in my opinion: It's in the woods, on the bus stop, a 20-minutes walk to Carrboro, and a few minutes walk to two of the best schools in the nation - The Villages' location couldn't be better! The mix of families and students, long-term and short-term residents, and people from all over the world makes The Villages a diverse and healthy place for building a life. The Villages is not built on a flat grid, but on curved lines over gently rolling hills, making it feel kind of like a campground or a park. This is my ninth year in The Villages, and each year at lease renewal time I've tried to find a better place, just to be sure that I am living where I want to live. Oct 2015: The perfect first place... After graduating college and moving out of my parents home I didn't know what to expect. So far The Villages of Chapel Hill has not let me down. In every sense of the word "village" this community has been very helpful. The staff is caring and compassionate about their quality of work. The move in process was very comprehensive for a first time renter like myself and expedient! The Village is a picturesque place to reside with well maintained grounds nestled away by beautiful trees. The neighbors I have encountered are friendly and noise conscience which leads to a very quiet and comfortable place to live. Also, this community includes a plethora of activities someone could indulge in like: the tennis court, two pools, multiple parks, multiple barbecue areas and a state of the art gym. I honestly don't know if I am Review from Google
Sep 2014: I am a visiting scholar from China,I wanted to find a quiet,non-smoke community with good school nearby.Had been comprising for weeks,we applied Villages. It is an excellent community in all regards. We have two kids, one in grade 7th in Culbreth Middle School, the other is grade 9th in Carrboro High school and Culbreth Middle School, they like their school very much! School bus stop is very convenient for kids.Bus D&J are convenient for me to go to UNC campus. Review from 9/30/14 on Apartment Ratings

Sep 2014: At this point, 1 month after living hear, I am still waiting for move-in issues to be resolved. I love the layout however the insulation is poor and the cost of electric is painful. The office staff can be deceitfully friendly, as their job is to be courteous. The neighborhood is quiet, parking is ample, trash removal could occur more frequently. There are wood roaches however there is also pest control, if you call every two weeks and ask for it. It isn't the worst place to live, and is probably a great place for college students who aren't trying to party. I do love the wooded property (minus the roaches). I am responsible for lighting my own walkway, meaning it is only lit if I turn on two lights outside, and not just my front door light. Review from 9/15/14 on Apartment Ratings
