Nov 2018: This apartment is very good with nice scenery and is good for a walk. It is so convenient to have bus station at the entrance of the apartment and is close to the expressway. We can easily go to grocery store, movie theaters and restaurants by walk. Review from Google Sep 2018: Living in The Pointe is great for the price. Very clean accommodations with great appliances. The office staff is very friendly and work with you if you have any issues. My only complaint is that the walls are a bit thin, but I guess that's just apartment living in general. Review from Google Jul 2018: This apartment is amazing. I love my apartment and it's loacation close to Franklin st. It's great for students and for professional employees. I work in Durham and the Highway is very close to this apartment, but out of the way enough that I don't have any city/Highway sounds. The apartment staff and manager are amazing and helpful. Any question and/or concern was answered promptly and fully.Any work order I needed was dealt with swiftly. Best apartment place I have lived in North Carolina yet! Thanks! Review from Google Jun 2018: We have been at the Pointe at Chapel Hill since 2017, and we are glad we chose to live here. The property fits several of our criteria for a comfortable place to live in Chapel Hill. The features that fulfilled our wish list included the following:
- Well-organized property management
- Well-maintained apartment-home units, clean and provide a pleasant environment in the neighborhood
- Within walking distance to supermarkets, banks, restaurants, coffee shops, etc.
- A quiet home-garden environment surrounded by trees and shrubs
- Multicultural community
We thank everyone for making our apartment living experience a happy one, and we are pleased with our situation and plan on renewing our lease. Mrs.Pat Ennes Review from Google May 2018: Have lived at The Pointe for almost a year now. I am very satisfied with the complex. The outside areas are well maintained. The pool area is gorgeous. I feel like I’m on vacation every time I go home as I have a direct view of it. The complex is quiet. The staff is great. Emily is very welcoming and takes care of any issues quickly. Review from Google Apr 2018: I have lived here for several years and this is a great place to live. The staff is wonderful; they are responsive and truly care about the residents and making this a place you want to live. The complex is attractive and well maintained, plenty of parking, and the amenities are excellent. The apartments were recently refurbished and updated inside and out; all new appliances, light fixtures and flooring. The residents are friendly. You will not go wrong choosing to live here! Review from Google Apr 2018: I've been renting here for 3 years. The location is great (right at 40 and 86) but back from the main roads. The renters are diverse-of all ages and race/ethnicity. The apartments are light and airy. The result is that you feel you are living in a residential area.
The new management team (in the last year) is exceptional. They are personable, work to find an apartment that is right for your needs, know you by name. I can't say enough about the difference in the experience. Review from Google Apr 2018: I have lived here for 1.5 years (and just renewed for another year). My initial experiences with management were terrible, but now that there is new maintenance and office staff (Dani is a ray of sunshine!), everything is being taken care of much more efficiently. I had a laundry list of maintenance requests that were finally taken care of when Dani relayed the information. Overall, I've really enjoyed the size of my apartment, the valet trash, the pool, the location, and the parking. Compared to nearby apartment complexes, it's definitely on the more expensive end, but in my opinion, it's worth it. When I moved in, it was the best deal for the square footage to cost ratio in the area. Review from Google Apr 2018: I am subletting an apartment for a couple of months and I have already had a wonderful experience. The staff is so welcoming and friendly! One of the staff members, Danica has been an absolute pleasure making me feel so at home, and also very helpful while answer my 100 questions about the sublease! The blooming trees all around the beautiful grounds make this a great place to call my temporary home! I recommend the pointe to anyone! Review from Google Feb 2018: I’ve lived at The Pointe for almost 2 years now. The staff is wonderful! They’re friendly and very helpful. I’ve requested maintenance and someone will come by within 48 hours. I did have trouble with my dishwasher last year but they replaced it and it works great. I love being close to the movie theater and the grocery store. And the kids enjoy the pool and playing pool in the clubhouse. Review from Google Feb 2018: I have been here for 2 years and it has been a great experience. Great living environment and great space inside. I have a huge living room and a huge bedroom with a huge closet. The office staff are friendly and helpful and all my maintenance requests are quickly fixed. Review from Google Jan 2018: Lived at The Pointe for one year when I moved to the area before deciding to purchase a house. It is conveniently located if you work in Chapel Hill and want to make use of public transit, or if you prefer to drive it has easy access to the highway. Being situated right next to Timberline Plaza it's so easy to go and pick up whatever groceries you need while also having restaurant options for when you just can't be bothered to cook.
While I really enjoyed the apartment itself (clean, well maintained, spacious), management was . . . difficult to work with. In addition, they also overcharged us EXTENSIVELY when we left ($50 for two nail holes?!?).
If you choose to rent here, be VERY ATTENTIVE to your contract, and expect no leeway from management. Also carefully document/photograph any nicks, dings, damages, etc. when you move in. Review from Google Dec 2017: We have lived here at The Point at Chapel Hill for a couple of weeks so far and can tell you that I know we made the right decision. Emily and Alex did a fantastic job with the whole process from start to finish. The facilities and amenities are awesome. Do yourself a favor, if you are starting your search for an apartment or in the middle of one, give The Point a call. This complex is close to shopping without being in the middle of all the traffic. My wife has a short 15 min drive to Duke every morning and I have a great internet connection which allows me to work from home. The school systems are outstanding for our children. Review from Google Dec 2017: As a new tenant it has been a wonderful experience so far for our family. It is pretty quiet, clean with great amenities The apartment was delivered as promised with new and renovated items. It is a pretty big complex but very well maintained. The service is very prompt and professional. Easy access to schools, restaurants, gas stations, movie theaters and grocery stores - good neighborhood.
The front office staff has been a pleasure to deal with- especially Alex - She has amazing customer service skills (which is hardly found these days) -very professional, accountable and displays pride in doing her job. She has done a great job in following up with us in a timely manner and providing us the apartment as promised. She was not pushy and had good suggestions before the move-in. Emily has been prompt in responding to our requests in the abs Review from Google Nov 2017: I have lived here for a little more than a year now. I love it. I have lived in a few of the other apartment complexes in Chapel Hill, The Pointe is by far the best. The apartments are spacious and well lit. It is convenient with restaurants, movie theaters, groceries, pharmacy all within walking distance. There is even a little dog park if you have a dog. I will say sometimes all of the doggy bag stations run out of doggy bags and they do not replace them for a bit, not a huge deal. The grounds crew keeps the property well maintained. Sometimes they take a bit of time to respond to normal maintenance calls but if its something big and an emergency (such as AC not cooling) they respond immediately. Great amenities! The pool is a popular hang out, they also have nice propane grills around the property and even have a fire pit. The gym is a litt Review from Google Jun 2017: I graduated from UNC two years ago and was considering moving back to the area soon. I decided to check out the pointe and Alex was very helpful with all the questions I had. The property was also nice as well, I'm hoping to come back soon.
Review from 6/9/17 on Google May 2017: I have lived at The Pointe for almost 9 years in two different apartments. I've been very satisfied with my experience: the office staff has been professional, the amenities are great, and maintenance issues have been handled quickly. I recommend the complex to my friends.
Review from 5/28/17 on Google May 2017: I went to The Pointe today to look at leasing an apartment, and was blown away by the staff. I have had such horrible experiences dealing with leasing staff in the past, and was pleasantly surprised by my experience with XXXX this afternoon. The complex is clean and beautiful, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. This complex is in a great location and offers excellent amenities.
Review from 5/25/17 on Google May 2017: I lived here for almost 7 years, and it's solid as far as apartment complexes go. The location is nice, right by I-40, and it's just far enough off the main road that it's quiet. The neighborhood is pretty good too.
Review from 5/9/17 on Google Apr 2017: Pros: I have been happy with my stay at the Pointe over the last year. The apartment is spacious, well-lit, and was recently renovated. In-unit laundry for each apartment is absolutely wonderful. Everyone who works here seems to be friendly, and the valet trash every day is honestly a super nice luxury.
Cons: The complex itself is pet friendly, and has a dog park, though there is dog poop all over the grass thanks to unconscientious neighbors. Also the tennis court tends to be occupied by children which is wonderful for them, but unfortunate if you want to play tennis ever.
Review from 4/17/17 on Google Mar 2017: The Pointe at Chapel Hill is an excellent condo. The Hellenborough is the largest 2 bedroom unit available (the closets are huge and the appliances are new). We felt like in home. It is a great location for walking. Everything you need will be close to you. The neighborhood is nice and the bus stop is close by. The new Leasing Consultant is very helpful and supportive. The community is a good district school. I would recommend this place to live.
Review from 3/9/17 on Google Feb 2017: The apartment is located in a great location close to the USPS,Food Lion, the movie theater I -40. This place has ample parking, well lighted, grounds well maintained The staff has been amazing They are very friendly and helpful. Review from 02/7/17 on Apartment Ratings Feb 2017: The Pointe is a decent place to live, though overpriced, as are most CH apartments. On the positive side, the current leasing agent seems to be very active about tenants' concerns. Also, the location is very convenient to grocery, movies, coffee shop, and restaurants. The bus stop is nearby (if the bus shows up). The Pointe is friendly to dogs. My apartment is nice enough and livable, but I wouldn't call it luxurious. I think the quality of some amenities, specifically the pool, fitness center, and business center, are exaggerated in the advertising. They are nice enough, but, not luxurious. When I use the business center for a fax or photocopy there was a problem with the machine, so I ended having to get someone in the office do them on their machine. To conclude, The Pointe has its faults, but is a decent place. Review from 2/13/17 from Apartment Ratings Feb 2017: Excellent place to stay! I am a student at UNC and the location in right by the T bus it very convenient to get to and from school. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend checking this place out! Review from 02/21/2017 on Apartment Ratings
