Nov 2015: Moved here at the end of October, apartments look great, plenty of space in a 2BR and we love the location! We are just minutes from every store and getting downtown to Franklin St is quick and easy,.
The complex is peaceful and quiet at night. Lot of dogs being walked so if you like dog watching, its great! Oh and there is plenty of parking so if you have guests, no worries.
Review from 11/13/15 on Apartment Ratings Nov 2015: My wife and I moved here in August. We're very satisfied with the experience. Highlights:
-A really nice huge pool
-Nice luxury apartments that are much more affordable than Durham and Carrboro.
-The clubhouse is pretty nice. Bringing friends there for shuffleboard is lots of fun. They also have a Starbucks machine that dispenses complimentary 12 oz cups of coffee.
-The staff are great. They are very professional and anticipate tenant needs. Jon Taffer would love this staff.
It's affordable and walk-able to Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. Moving to Midtown 501 was a great choice.
Review from 11/1/15 on Apartment Ratings Oct 2015: I love our apartment in MidTown 501!
The apartments have just been outfitted all brand-new modern appliances. There are lights in every room. There are 2 bathrooms with very easy to clean shower/tubs. The ceilings are on the high side, and the floor plans make the most of the ample square footage. The dark wood floors are very easy to clean. The kitchen counters are gorgeous and there is a gigantic island with provides a nice space to prepare meals.
The pool is pretty huge and there is always a ton of seating around it.
Review from 10/09/15 on Apartment Ratings Sep 2014: Back when it was Foxcroft, it was a very nice place to live, now this place is a horrible place to live with management that cares nothing about their paying residents.
For example, we were expressly told that we were NOT allowed to renew our lease this year, only that we could remain month to month at the same price as our previous lease, with the understanding that they could kick us out at any time.
There was a problem with our AC unit and heater which caused our normally $125/month electric bills to skyrocket up to over $300/month for about 4 months. The previous manager promised us a rebate because of it. When the new company took over, they apparently threw that agreement out the window -- this was agreed to in January 2014 and I still am out over $600.
Review from 9/21/14 on Apartment Ratings Aug 2014: WORST PLACE TO STAY IN CHAPEL HILL!!!!!!!!
Every day I pick up nails/ debris out of my patio and parking lots. The office staff doesn't feel it's their jobs to make construction crews to clean up their work space.? Really.
We have had a leaking ceiling in numerous areas in apartment, damaging carpet and and instead of fixing the roof they just let it keep happening resulting in an inconvenience for tenants and wasting money on new padding and cleaning carpet each time.
The construction has been absolutely horrible, it's very dangerous for tenets and the debris that it's creating is hurting the surrounding nature.
