Additional Reviews
Sep 2019: I was so excited and happy to live here until I had to talk to the management. Other staff are very friendly and helpful except for the manager, Alex and a guy named Devin or something. They are very unhelpful and unprofessional. I also just noticed that the 5 stars reviews mostly are from the people who worked there. Review from Google Aug 2019: High price with poor experiences. They got 2 buildings but very few parking spaces (half of them are for fresh thyme which you can’t park).
You have to be put on Parking Waitlist (Still can’t park in the building and have to wait for months). I have to walk two blocks to get to my car.
They tow your car even though you live here. Don’t even mention their package management. Review from Google Aug 2019: I lived here last year for a year and it is a great apartment.
Pros:
- nice amenities on campus
- professional staff
- nice location
- reasonably priced
- resident activities
Cons:
- Car Break-in!
I parked my car in the underground garage and it was broke in! The office only sent a security guy (obviously they did not do their job well) to notify me. They did not even apologize nor sending out email to warn other residents. Very disappointed.
- Noise! The building/window is built in bad quality in some way. I can hear clearly from my neighbor playing music to a concert 5 blocks away. I live above 10th floor but could hear much noise from the trash truck on the surface parking lot.
- It took about 8 month for them to fix the hot tub
- The yoga mat in the gym supposed to be replaced. They are in bad shape. Review from Google Jul 2019: I lived here last year for 6 months, and decided to resign for this year! I love this place! Not only do they have the top amenities on campus (grocery store, liquor store, gym, sauna, outdoor patio, hot tub, golf simulator), but the staff is super friendly and addresses your concerns quickly and professionally.
Also, while I was studying abroad, the leasing staff was super helpful in answering all of my questions by email and getting my new lease signed.
I absolutely love this place and would definitely recommend! Review from Google Jul 2019: My husband and I have lived at The Link since last September. Minus the hot tub being broken (which is now fixed) we have really enjoyed our time here. Having a fenced in area for our dog is absolutely amazing. The Link also has the best gym I’ve ever seen in an apartment building. The leasing office is super friendly and has always answered any questions we have had in a timely manner.
Prospect Park is an awesome area to live because you are central to both St. Paul and Minneapolis. Being on the Light Rail is a huge bonus! Review from Google Jul 2019: Just signed my lease here for this upcoming year, incredibly excited! I've had a few friends and a family member live here and all of them have said very good things! Went for a tour, really nice (and amazingly clean) amenities, great staff, and excellent location. Signed the same day. I see quite a few reviews complaining about some pretty menial or obvious things like noise levels, poorly painted walls(?), not receiving promotional gift cards, or other issues. Understand this building is located right next a light rail station, and the apartments have large windows. If you are on the side of the building with the train, on the lower levels you will unfortunately hear some noises. In exchange for this you have easy access to public transportation. I'm not sure what people are talking about with the paint, I've been inside a few friend's lived-in apartments, none had this issue. To be honest, I would much rather deal with looking at a lackluster paint job than gross stained carped and an old busted up apartment Review from Google Jul 2019: DO NOT MOVE HERE.
I have just moved out having lived there for a year. Any 5 * review you see on Google? That's members of the leasing office writing their own review. Trust me. Any 1* or 2* review? That's the residents.
Where do I even begin?
Firstly-the management. Though friendly, are completely useless. The management has changed around four times in the year that I lived there. And unfortunately, not one of them seems to be an improvement on the last. There is no accoutability. The management bribes you with gift cards and other perks for signing though I know that they failed to supply gift cards to many residents.
Secondly- the quality of the painting and the fixtures in the apartments are horrific. If you brush past the wall? Mark. If water splashes on the wall? Mark. The bathroom paint literally streaks. And then, of course, you will find yourself with a $155 charge for painting Review from Google Jun 2019: i’ve been living at the link for almost a year now and i firmly believe this is the best luxury apartment near the university of minnesota. the community is really great and management truly cares about residents experiences. Review from Google Jun 2019: NEVER RENT HERE!!!!!!!!!! TRASH OFFICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They actually do nothing. Never reply email. And when you come to office to find help, they can’t provide any help.
Please! ! Don’t! ! Rent! ! Here! ! Trust! ! Me! ! Very! ! Terrible! ! And! ! Trash! ! Office! ! And! ! Management! ! Team!!!!! Review from Google Jun 2019: NEVER RENT HERE!!!!!!!!!! TRASH OFFICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review from Google May 2019: This place looks nice, but the property management is not professional and not organized well. Very inefficient management. You will have endless confused charge even after you moved out ! Very annoying! Review from Google May 2019: This place looks nice, but the property management is not professional and not organized well. Very inefficient management. Review from Google May 2019: Apartment looks nice during the tour, staff are also friendly, but once you are in the game, good luck!
Wish could gave zero star.
Worst management ever met.
Play "Promotion" game with you.
Bad maintenance.
No accountability. Review from Google Apr 2019: Do not rent here.
The management - although friendly- has been AWFUL.
This building would be nice if it was actually maintained. Nobody cleans after their dogs- can’t walk anywhere around the building without stepping in dog poop. Absolutely disgusting.
One of the worst parts is that the “year round†hottub has been broken for MONTHS. Since December! Without any signs of progress- the equipment set outside by the hottub hasn’t moved for months. And management continues to lie about when it will be repaired.
You will not sleep here. It is surrounded by construction sites. Prepare to be woken up at 6 am every day to bulldozers and beeping noises.
I have asked management to put me on the parking list twice and they never have which means I’ve been waiting months for a parking spot which has been useless.
Coffee machines are rarely filled. Almost always empty.
My neighbor smokes in their room EVERY DAY and I have complained to management MULTIPLE times with no follow up Review from Google Nov 2018: TL; DR: If you are a light sleeper this place is not for you. There are also issues with building cleanliness and responsiveness to residents (just ask for Property Manager’s written responses to complaints from last Complex-wide meeting, not much has changed). Beware of gift cards. Amenities are top notch when working.
-----------------
I realized immediately after moving in this summer the place has little to no sound insulation. This is especially problematic given the light rail / multiple construction projects next door and numerous dogs in the complex. I find it very difficult to sleep here, even with ear plugs. The office staff told me to buy some heavy curtains, which did not help. They let me tour the more expensive tower units which have somewhat better window construction but "the guts of the building are the same" (per the Property Manager).
The management team seem nice individually but are understaffed, often slow to respond, and apparently just transitioned to a new parent company (formerly The Habitat Company) Review from Google Sep 2018: I moved into the Link in the beginning of August and have loved it since I have moved in. The fitness center is one of the nicest (if not the nicest) facility you will see in an apartment complex. I have also made many friends within the Link community because of the rooftop hot tub and the community room. On top of a great facility, the employees are very nice and friendly. They know nearly every resident by name and really make the community feel more like family!! Review from Google Aug 2018: Moved in a little over a week ago, and I love it! The staff goes out of their way to know you, and they're all so friendly. Everything is brand new. I've never seen any other apartment with the kinds of cool amenities they have here. The location is also great. Highly recommend! Review from Google
