May 2019: The 2bed/2bath apartments here are nice and spacious. As a college student with the closest family 4+ hours away, having the extra space in the walk-in closet and office is very helpful. The pool and clubhouse are always clean and relatively empty. The complex is on the Athens transit 12 route and the Riverbend south Milledge UGA bus route, so it is almost as convenient to get to class taking the bus as it is to drive. The appliances in my unit are updated, so they look nice and work well but I have had to have my stove replaced and my refrigerator fixed. The maintenance requests are typically handled quickly though. The only negative thing about the building itself is that the carpets really should have been replaced before I moved in, and at times there has been some issues with mold on the outside of the building and debris from garden area pushed in front of my doorway. I feel that these issues have not greatly impacted the value of the apartment though Review from Google
Jan 2019: The rooms are very nice and spacious! I love the bathroom/walk-in closet in particular. The study room is cool, but it is shaped a little too weird to put anything other than a desk. I also recommend getting a top floor unit because the ceilings are high. There's dumpsters next to every building and the athens transit bus 12 comes pretty frequently, which is convinient. The bedrooms/study rooms look very old and dull compared to the rest of the apartment because they are carpeted rather than hardwood, but it's not awful to look at. The price for rent is definitely worth the size of your space, but the cost of utilities do add up. I don't use the a/c and do my best to save water/electricity, but I still end up paying at least $500 a month total.

Apr 2018: Honestly pretty surprised at the negative comments. I have lived at this property for almost a year and my boyfriend for two. We both have had very pleasant experiences. The location is prime, the bus comes right to the front of the neighborhood, the renovated units are gorgeous and spacious. Alanna and Savannah are always very polite. I have nothing negative to say about Riverbend. Review from GoogleMar 2018: I wish I could give negative stars to this review. The property management at Riverbend Apartments in Athens is atrocious. They are rude, hateful and disrespectful. As a parent of a former tenant, I highly recommend that NO ONE ever rent from these terrible people. They at no time tried to contact me or my son about bogus move out costs. His roommate who had left the apartment and skipped out without paying his lease, left damage in his room which was attributed to my son whose room and the common areas of the apartment were professionally cleaned and maintained upon move out. Any and all damage of any kind to the common areas (caused by the roommate) was fixed by us and the entire apartment, except for the roommate's room, looked better than upon move in! These people are horrible to work with. Run, don't walk, away from this place. Review from 12/20/16 on GoogleDec 2016: Everything is cool BUT if the utilities are in your name and the stranger they match you with doesn't want to pay their share of water/Wi-Fi/ electric you must pay theirs. They WILL NOT evict the person, make them pay or renegotiate when your rent is due. Some complexes have better policies to ensure roommates don't get screwed. Find one of those complexes.

Usually basic work orders are done within a week, there's no crime, I've never had a leak, and when my old dishwasher gave up the ghost i got a brand new one. I was a little disappointed they didn't put effort into getting rid of some carpenter bees who made a home in my outside paneling but that's my only complaint after 2 years living here. The workout room and pool are both kept fairly in good shape, and mail is easy to get.

Everything keeps breaking. If anyone knows who is above the office manager and knows a way to contact them, PLEASE let me know.
Review from 4/5/16 on GoogleSep 2014: Lived here for three years due to cheap rent. The rent is the only thing positive about this community. The carpet is shoddy, the furniture is very worn, the washer and dryer are half-sized, and you have to run the dryer at least twice to completely dry your clothes. The water-heater caught on fire the third year I was there, and the fire alarm did not even sound. There are always roaches. Everywhere. Water, trash, and pest control are included in the rent, but the walls are so thin and lacking in insulation that the electric cost skyrockets if you want to maintain a comfortable temperature. The community itself is noisy. Parties, loud neighbors, and obnoxiously loud music from cars driving by are daily occurrences. I would suggest looking at Jamestown North for 2 bed/2.5 bath or Argo for a studio apartment.May 2014: Disgusting. Office only considers major requests such as pipes being shut off, but brush under other requests such as mold, locks not working, or pests. Terrible carpet, appliances look like a 3 year old installed it. BUGS EVERYWHERE. Appliances suck.
