May 2018: Making major improvements and completely worth the price. They have great free food days and fun activities all the time May 2018: Wonderful service, extremely accommodating!! The staff does everything in their ability to ensure its residents have what they need at all times! May 2018: Great place! Great staff and amenities. Been happy living here for a year and couldn’t be happier. May 2018: Amazing Place to live, lots of cool people and a really nice environment! May 2018: Previous management wasn’t that great when first moved in. However, new management is doing such a great job at repairing the community as a whole. May 2018: It actually got better. The new management is actually doing a great job. Apr 2018: This place sucks. Don’t live here. Terrible internet service (TERRIBLE), gates are always broken and they lock the only other doors to get in. “Dog park†is not a dog park. Propane grills never have propane. They try to suck any money they can out of you. Electronic locks go out every other week. All the good reviews are 100% affiliated with Park East in some way. Haven’t met a single person that enjoys living here. You’ll regret signing a lease here. 2/5 stars. - resident of two years (resigned only because they dropped the price of rent by $200. You get what you pay for I guess) Apr 2018: New Management has turned this place completely around. They have all sorts of events to engage their residents and to keep them happy. The staff is very nice and actually put consideration into opinions of the tenants. Review from Google Apr 2018: Do not live here at all. I was scammed BIG time with the old property owners regarding my monthly lease. I pay nearly $700 for a four bedroom and recently it's $399? Also this place is full of flaws, the new management is great at improving stuff but the fact that there is dog poop EVERYWHERE, thin walls, SLOW ELEVATORS (SO SLOW), and stinky hallways just shows how this building was engineered in such quick time. If you live in the first building, you're in for a long walk to the parking garage.. and what makes it worse is that if you have a lot of heavy groceries, THERE ARE SO MANY DOORS that also dont open so it is impossible to get to your room without feeling frustrated. The apartment complex isn't in a safe area either. There are homeless people walking around day and night and a lot of people's cars have been broken into. Its sad that st Review from Google Mar 2018: It's a great place now that it is under new management. There has been a lot of changes plus the staff are very accessible. would recommend to those interested in an affordable student apartment. Review from Google Mar 2018: If I had known about these apartments before I had made a decision to live somewhere else next year, park east would have been my first choice!! I love the interior design and the fact that they also had a dog park and outdoor theatre pool just made me like it even more!! it’s such a beautiful place to live and the fact that it’s close to campus and walmart makes it so convenient to live there!! Review from Google Mar 2018: Park East is easily one of my favorite apartments in Lubbock. Management were very friendly, welcoming, and quick to resolve any issues. Not to mention their clubhouse, outdoor theater pool, and dog community is a plus! For the price, Park East is really worth it. Review from Google Mar 2018: If I had known about these apartments before I made a decision of where to live next year, I would definitely be living at Park East. The apartments are super nice and the rate is really good! The people are very friendly and helpful and it's located in a very convenient spot, near campus. I would highly recommend signing before it fills up! Review from Google Mar 2018: The new management has always been amazing. Issues are fixed promptly, management treats you with respect, and I can’t rave enough about the new gym. Low rates, sweet pool, free use on the grills. Pretty good for a student residence.
Can’t argue with constant improvement. Review from Google Mar 2018: This is an honest no BS review. Do not move here! This apt complex sucks, they have regular problems with their internet so if you want to do your online quiz at 9pm and it's due at 11:59pm that day good luck because their internet goes down for hours. Also the management staff is super pushy and honestly really passive aggressive. Their policies are ridiculous and it doesn't even feel like you live in an apt because they come into your place CONSTANTLY and it's beyond annoying because at least for me they've come in to do "routine checks" when I am fresh out of the shower or in the middle of getting dressed. Not to mention that the water is NEVER hot, the hot water literally last 5min in the shower than it turns lukewarm-cold. So girls that take a shower with scalding water you won't get that here! Lastly the walls are paper thin.So yeah no lies 2/5 stars. Feb 2018: If you want your internet to go down at least twice a month for hours on end with no warning during your online quiz, this is the place for you! If you enjoy having manager after manager listen to your problem, claiming to “fix it right away†and then it never be fixed, this is the place for you! “Dog parks†that consist of trash, dead grass, loads of rocks, and constant not-dog-friendly-people walking through (because they literally have to in order to get from one building to another, or to the parking garage), wow this place is awesome! The new management told their employees to give five star reviews, FYI. When Park East first took over, they had a great start! But now they’re focused on getting people to sign, not their current residents. The managers don’t speak to each other. The battery on our door goes out every other week Review from Google Jan 2018: ParkEast isn't 18Nineteen!! (That's a good thing)
When I first moved here, it was owned by a different company. And it was genuinely awful living here, the management was awful, doors never worked, the carpets were disgusting, the elevators had nasty carpets, the printer was useless and so many problems. I was so frustrated that I had no interest in staying here.
HOWEVER, ParkEast has genuinely fixed all of the complaints. They have completely changed everything. They professionally clean the carpets (multiple times), fixed the locks, repainted, tore out carpet from elevators, hired new staff, have two police officers in case you don't feel safe, and are so FAST at getting to work orders. Basically any complaint you have has been fixed and if it hasn't then they will continue to fix it. They had a panel of residents express their griefs and Review from Google Dec 2017: I love it here. I moved in in August and have had a great experience. The management team is great and super helpful whenever I have issues. Would highly recommend Dec 2017: Awesome management- super friendly! Making so many positive changes to make for a great living experience. Already renewed my lease for next year. Review from Google Dec 2017: 5 star reviews are probably from people that work here or are affiliated with the employees somehow! don't believe them.
WORST PLACE TO LIVE! They will look for any chance they can to suck the money out of you. Read through the contract before signing, because their policies are absolutely ridiculous. Here is just one small example: I had to pay $100 moving out for 2 small tacks in the wall. The Cottages of Lubbock sent out an email to their residents saying if there was any holes smaller than a nickel to leave them and they'd take care of them for you. While I had to pay $100 for 2 holes smaller than a millimeter. DO NOT MOVE HERE! Review from Google Dec 2017: Wow what can I say. Park East has by far exceeded my expectations. With the new management, the staff is so accommodating and friendly. Me and my dog cuddles love the pet friendly option and I cant imagine living somewhere else. also that startbucks machine in the lobby is THE GOAT. 10/10 would recommend Review from Google Oct 2017: They don't allow dogs in the courtyard of building 2 despite there being a picture on their website with a dog out there saying dog friendly. One of the other two options to take your dog is open and the dogs can run straight into the parking garage. And the last option, the area between the two buildings, has been flooded for 3 months to the point that there is a black, tar-like mud makes it to where you have to wash your dog every time they need to use the bathroom or want to get energy out. Review from Google Aug 2017: DO NOT LIVE HERE. If I could rate negative I would. This place might be new but do not be fooled. Horrible staff with absolutely no experience. Management tells you one thing but the lease is 100% different. The discrepancies are shocking. They require you to get renters insurance which no college student should have to be forced to do (especially if the place is furnished.. what are you even going to insure?). They made this a requirement months after I signed my lease. They promote low prices and giveaways but once you sign you will realize its a bunch of lies. Dogs are not allowed in the "dog park" just in the smaller grass areas between buildings (parking garage dangerous for dogs). One light rain and the place floods. Sketchy area with a high homeless population around there apartments 24/7.The security for this place does not exist. Brok Review from Google Apr 2017: My hallway always has garbage inside of it, always smells like cleaning products and I am embarrassed of it. There is always dog poop in the stairwells that sits there for days. If you have a poolside view room, it is nice and all until you get woken up everyday by music when there is no one outside or on the weekends when you can't even sit peacefully in your room because of the pool parties. Our countertop came out of its hinges the first or second month I lived here and we put in several work orders in to get it fixed and it is still broken to this day. You can always hear your neighbors above you. If your bottom neighbors fan is on, you can hear a constant humming in your room ALL day/night. Poorly built apartments. It is no wonder why they are having such a hard time keeping anyone here.
Review from 4/6/17 on Google Nov 2016: Solid student living, try hard to keep property clean. Since it's new mostly everything works or is replaced/fixed quickly. Garage has security guards during weekends which is nice. The gym is a glorified hotel gym in both buildings, so expect to be going to the Rec. Also really sucks not having a balcony/patio as most every other place does. Modern styling and friendly staff.
