Mar 2018: One of my biggest complaints is you can't pay your rent in the office anymore you have to log into a 3rd party website that charges you a fee to use or go all the way to Walmart to pay also the walls seem paper think I can hear every movement my up stairs neighbor makes and it is awful especially at 11-2 in the morning Review from Google Mar 2018: Horrible, horrible. Never fix anything and always there's extra charges and unknown charges added to the bill. People in the front office are extremely rude. Review from Google Mar 2018: I've lived here for nearly 2 years and have enjoyed my stay. It's great on a grad student budget, many of my peers live here as well.
The staff has always been friendly and willing to provide service as long as you are patient and upfront with them. For example, they had painters powerwashing and touching up the new paint job and unfortunately some water ran into my home and ruined a couple of Christmas gifts under my tree. When I called about it they apologized and offered to replace anything that had gotten damaged. They work hard to remember your name and keep you in the know. They've done a wonder job of transitioning to an electronic system for notifications.
Honestly, all the other reviews you will see complaining about the new payment system or unfair pet policy or pest problems are merely ignorant people that don't take the time to Review from Google Feb 2018: If you like having no running water for weeks at a time(and getting charge triple for water during that tine), tons of bugs, and rude office staff, this place is perfect for you. Review from Google Feb 2018: This is the worst place to live ever! Absolutely disgusting! I had the worst case of roaches ever, and my apartment was NEVER dirty. They claim to spray quarterly, but that definitely was not the case. I lived there a year and my apartment was sprayed twice. I complained more than a handful of times about the bug situation, and was told there was nothing they could do until the pest control people found the bug problem. Also my rent check was ran twice and when confronted about it, they tried telling me it was never deposited when I turned it in. After I had to show proof to them from my bank is when they finally refunded my account. There were NUMEROUS work orders I had put in, and not one of them was ever completed. I had to physically fix them myself. The return air vent looked like it had never even been opened. So many fire hazards, super Review from Google Jan 2018: If I could give less than a star I would. They screw everyone that lives there. We were charged 800$ when we moved out and weren’t notified so it went on our credit report. That’s not half the stuff that happened to us. Review from Google Dec 2017: Love living here! Everyone is nice and willing to help answer any qustions I have. Review from Google Nov 2017: This apartment complex is infested with German cockroaches. On average, there are about 6 new roaches in my kitchen EVERY DAY, since the day I moved in. It is not only my apartment, but others as well; my neighbors have told me they have the same issue. The roaches are most likely coming from the walls, and the pest control guy comes around, but it is still infested.
My appliances are really old (like from the 70's), but my neighbor above me has more modern appliances. What you get when you move in is random. The laundry room only runs cold water since the hot water broke and wasn't fixed in the 3 months that I have been here. The pool is always dirty and people don't pick up their dog poop.
I definatley would not waste my hard earned money here if I wasn't in a year long contract. I would give this place less than one star if I could.
Don Review from Google Oct 2017: The maintenance is very rude!
and the people in the office do not make it easy to stay here. I thought I found a good place to make my home but I can not wait leave! SO I DID SEE IN THE COMMENTS THAT THERE ARE PLENTY OF LEAKES. Canyon Crossing is a joke bro they make you pay for the things they don’t want to pay for. They are so quick to put a note on your door rather than talking to you. Review from Google Aug 2017: I wish I could give this place worse than one star. I thought all the reviews were somewhat baseless but they're not. I had no other choice but to deal with this apartment complex and I'm definitely paying for it. The staff is helpful but you can trust them as far as you can throw them. They won't call you if something is wrong, they resort to emails so they have a paper trail. So if something is really wrong like your payment getting screwed up at home office just wait to be notified by a friendly "notice to vacate" on your door. They won't call, because honestly they don't care. I travel a lot and they will leave notices on your door like you will always be home. So if you are expecting a friendly staff that is there to help anytime don't bet on it. Again, don't expect a phone call if something is wrong. The staff will never apolog Review from Google May 2017: The worst apartment I have ever lived in. You are much better off living in a cardboard box! I pay almost $700 a month for a 1 bd apartment. When I first moved in it was about $580. There has been absolutely no changes, but they raise the price to "match the market rate." They do attach random fees, even if you pay online there is still a fee. Not to mention a mandatory $25 fee monthly for "valet trash". I had a leak from the ceiling that was ruining the carpet, it took 4 maintenance orders to get it fixed and the gave me a fan to dry the carpet! The water is legit turned off 3-5x a week. And I WISH I was joking.
Review from 5/27/17 on Google May 2017: Was a resident from 2008 to 2011 - At first it was fine but started falling apart after I got married and my husband moved in around 2010. We started to notice things in our apartment being moved or things brought in that we didn't use - such as Sweet N Low - we never bought nor used that junk yet there were open packets on our keyboard. Either a previous tenant or maintenance were the only ones who could have gotten in. Strange, when I put a CMOS password on my PC, it stopped. Then we were literally unable to live in our apartment due to a slab week for 6 weeks. I told them I was paying to live there and if I had to pay to live at a hotel I couldn't afford both so after MUCH complaining, they allowed us to stay in a model unit. 6 weeks to fix a slab leak is a little excessive!
Review from 5/24/17 on Google May 2017: The apartments are beautiful, some are even cozy cute, yes there are problems, however there are a lot of units here and I can say the ladies in the office are busy all the time and they are constantly doing upgrades. The maintenance team are hard working men, who try very hard to meet the needs of all tenants here. Most tenants here aren't aware of what really goes on behind the scenes, when it comes to running a complex like canyon crossing. It's a huge place, so please try to be patient with the team at canyon crossing. Review from 5/10/17 on Google May 2017: IF YOU LIKE TO LOVE LIKE HUMAN, DO NOT RENT HERE. I lived in apartment 102 phase 1 and my friend was in 102 phase 2. All these problems apply to both apartments.
If there was any way that I could give 0, I would. Here are negative points:
BUGS: There are big roaches every where.
SAFTY: Someone knocked my door at 3am in the morning and tried to break it. This happened two times. For a month, I cannot sleep, because I'm afraid this happens again.
Neighbors: You will be addicted to weed eventually, because your neighbor is using weed in the bathroom and you can smell it in you kitchen and bathroom.
Review from 5/2/17 on Google Mar 2017: This place isn't worth the money. You can only use the fitness center when they're open. Which sucks when you work 8 to 7. Your car port is not close to your apartment. And they don't care if your neighbors dog is barking uncontrollably next door because they're "pet friendly". Also, I was scheduled to move in on a certain date and they still didn't have my apartment ready for me to move in, but I still had to pay the prorated rate for that date. They will not work with you if your going to pay rent 1 or 2 days late. Plus the staff is rude. Oh, and the maintenance man doesn't fix things like he's suppose to.
Review from 3/19/17 on Google Jan 2017: The good reviews on here are a joke. I find it hilarious that so many reviews I read on here are positive ones praising the office staff, maintenance, cleanliness/quality of the apartments etc. when a quick google search pulls up nothing but terrible reviews about the immature/unprofessional/greedy office staff, maintenance men who invade your apartment with no notice (if they show up at all), and apartments who's ceilings fall in, have water damage or leaks, no AC, etc. And all I can tell you is the good reviews on this site are either paid for or the staff themselves because Canyon Crossing is absolutely the worst place I have ever lived.
Review from 1/5/17 on Apartment Ratings Dec 2016: It's a really nice community. Easy traveling to church and to work. My two puppies like the new apartment and like the small doggie park. The staffing is really good at their work and always ready when you need anything that needs to be worked on.
Review from 12/21/16 on Apartment Ratings Dec 2016: Maintenance issues are usually taken care of within 24 hours by amazing guys. Leasing office calls you the same day to verify that everything was taken cared of. This complex is peaceful, not a lot of noise from neighbors. There is sufficient lights at night.
Review from 12/12/16 on Apartment Ratings Jun 2016: Staff was pretty good but the apartment was filthy when I moved in and smelled of smoke. I had to get moved in that weekend but since it was a holiday nobody could get it cleaned up. I had to leave for a trip right after moving and still have no word.
Review from 6/1/16 on Apartment Ratings May 2016: I just moved in a few days ago and so far everything has been pretty alright, however it was a hassle to get our lease and everything because the office staff didn't seem to have their things together which wouldn't have been a problem but we were on a very tight time limit with getting the apartment and being able to move and even though that was made clear after we had paid for the application fee they never got back to us and getting ahold of them was difficult in its self and when we finally got ahold of the office they couldn't find our paper work and we had to wait even longer, just to be able to move in took several days but everything finally did work out and they've been very nice about everything so far.
Review from 5/31/16 on Apartment Ratings Apr 2016: So far everyone is very friendly and inviting and I enjoy that they have a large variety of rooms for individuals and familiars. I enjoy that they are inviting and open to having pets and they are extremely helpful in the office. Overall a great experience so far.
