Dec 2020: This complex is awful! My apartment leaked when it rained from under the baseboards (I lived on the first floor). I put in multiple requests which were never handled. Moving in it was filthy and had bugs. They said they had sprayed, not sure I believe that because this complex is infested with roaches. You pay for laundry and the facilities are gross which also has bugs everywhere. There was a sewage leak when I lived here and the person that came to fix it did not care. He cleared the blockage and then sprayed the sewage into the grass by the dog park with a water hose. No lime was spread or solids picked up to ensure the area was safe after human waste was all over. It’s very loud, granted it is old and the walls are thin but I could hear my neighbors cell phone ringing. Maintenance requests are ignored even if you go in. Anywhere is better, spend the extra $ Nov 2018: I lived there in 1984, was falling apart back then, filled a 30-gallon cooler one night due to a roof leak. Review from Google Jul 2018: Living here the past year has been a nightmare. Uncooperative staff, and poor conditions on top of so much more Review from Google Jan 2018: I lived there last year. If you're looking for luxury apartments, do not live here. I lived here because it was so close to Texas State and it was one of the cheapest places in San Marcos. But the management is just awful. Not enough maintenance people for such a big complex, and to be quite honest for the rent you are paying, it's not worth it. Review from Google Oct 2017: Craphole apartments--kids have been there over 2 months and management still has not made the repairs. The apartment was disgustingly filthy and there are holes in walls and sinks allowing rodents and bugs inside. They showed them nice apartments they have in the area off the main road and gave them a unit in their run down units on LBJ. Locks don't work on door, etc. Craphole and management ignores tenants. Do not move here unless you are ok with 3rd world conditions. Review from Google May 2017: I had two different apartments in my time there, and both times i had to deal with drug dealers. I had to deal with an irresponsible ex- militiary waiving his gun around at me after I told management about all the suspicious people coming by day and night, and then I had to deal with a whole gaggle of hippies who decided to start tripping on acid or getting into fights right in front of my door every night, after they put me into an apartment where my room mate was *actually* dealing drugs. After I told them i don't want to see drugs.
Review from 5/14/17 on Google Nov 2016: Vintage Pads isn't just any apartment complex. First off, it's seriously close! It's a 5 minute walk to Texas State so you can roll out of bed and make it to class! There's a coffee shop (Mochas and Javas) and a kolache shop right down the road! Maybe you've heard of it! This place is pet friendly, energy efficient, and has lots of personality. There's a dog park down the road so you can relax while your dog plays in the open! Maintenance is quick, cable and internet paid for, and the community is quiet. Honestly this price is great for the convenience and experience you'll have! (Nov 26th current resident)
