Nov 2017: Where to begin? I first moved here in 2011 to a 3 bedroom. A year later I moved to a 2 and they tried to charge me for the carpet. I told them it wasn’t gonna happen. My wheelchair brings in dirt I couldn’t control, so the carpet was worn out after 1 year. I didn’t have to pay for the carpet. Then I was in a 2 bedroom for 5 years. It was ok during most of that time, but we did have minor flooding from a pipe and had to move furniture out for a few days. They did put us up in a hotel for two nights so that was nice. They didn’t help us move furniture outside while apt dried out. I did talk them into hardwood laminate instead of carpet since my wheelchair brings in a lot of dirt. That was nice. Fast forward a year to Hurricane Irma and we were the unlucky ones to flood. We got 6 inches in our apartment and was forced to move. Lost all ou Review from Google Nov 2017: Moved in August, very happy with management, maintainance has been excellent and receptive to any issues I have encountered that have been numerous. The Polo's are under new management and are doing a lot to their community with many improvements. Review from Google Aug 2017: Major problem in our third floor apartment with black ants and florida woods cockroaches, inadequate air conditioning, plumbing issues, cracks in tile, broken shower curtain bar
Maintenance was notified well over a week ago and nobody has even responded.
Loud construction all day.
Had my scooter driven into and knocked over.
It is a decent price for the space and has been quiet. Parking isn't too bad.
edit 08/28/17: A/C has been worked on and construction noise subsided after 3 weeks. Had to bring it up a few times with management. Pest control is supposed to be making rounds.
Review from 8/28/17 on Google Aug 2017: Renter beware! I'm currently living here and have had nothing but issues since day one. When we moved in the apartment was not in tip top shape (not even close). The dryer that was provided to us did not work so we requested a new one, which was installed the next day. Later that night we smelled something burning and I thought to check the dryer only to find that the new dryer had been hooked up to the previous dryer duct that was FULL of lint.
Review from 8/13/17 on Google Aug 2017: I lived in this complex for a year and I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.
Pros:
1. Reasonably priced apartments.
2. At the time of this review, internet is included with rent.
3. Plenty of amenities (3 pool community pools, a gym, tennis court, half a basketball court, and racket ball court).
Cons:
1. The unit I lived in had so many bugs. One of my roommates woke up to a 3 inch spider starting at her. I had roaches in my bedroom and the living room. We submitted multiple requests to have the apartment fumigated but their contractor did absolutely nothing. Management only took action when we complained three times in a row. And even then the exterminator did nothing.
2. Management is rotated so often no one knows what's going on. We requested the cabinets for the kitchen to be fixed since there was water damage.
Review from 8/2/17 on Googl Jul 2017: I've been living at the Polos since 2015 and I love every moment and everything about it. Maintenance is wonderful when it comes to scheduling and always attentive to my request. Thank you for always servicing your residents and having respect for my apartment. I sincerely couldn't be happier!
Review from 7/10/17 on Google Jun 2017: Overall, I have had a very positive experience living at the Polos for the past year and a half. The front desk staff have been kind and accommodating, if I email them they typically call with a response in less than 24 hours. Their amenities are pretty good and I happen to live in a building filled with quiet people. I will probably renew next year.
My fifth star isn't there due to maintenance, which I believe is done through a separate company. On some days maintenance will get to my issue next day, other times it will take a week and nothing will get done. Sometimes I've had to submit two or three requests to get something done. This inconsistency can be frustrating sometimes.
