Nov 2018: Well the rent is low and manager in the office and the maintenance guy are very nice but the landlord returned the deposit after 8 months but still they are very helpful in all ways just go and talk to them they will help you. Review from Google
Oct 2018: I am current resident of the Square of South Overton. I lost my bike (Trek 300) from it's parking lot about 3 weeks ago, although it was locked. The apartment has cameras, but those never record anything. More importantly, I haven't even got any response about this from them. Tome, it is a very unsecure place to live in. It has dirty corridor and stairs. And it is taking forever to repair the middle stairs, don't see any progress since September 2018....

Jul 2018: BEWARE OF FRAUD....this place is the worst they over charge on everything, things always break down and they are very dirty. Administration is never available, its been almost 6 months and I still have not gotten my deposit check back i have traveled back only to be told they are working on it. they dodge the calls and never return calls. Mar 2018: The Square at South Overton (formally HoneyComb) was recently purchased and under new management. They are going through a total rehab. The property is well taken care of and the residents are treated with a smiling face, courtesy and respect when they walk into the office. Not just residents but visitors alike. I would recommend The Square at South Overton to any one attending TTU, because of the affordable rents, with out the craziness of other student properties. Review from Google
Jan 2018: I lived there for 1.5 years. A decent place for students.
+: cheap rent, location (close to campus), prompt repairs, reasonably quiet, furnished.
-: the building is old, water goes off for several hours once a month or two, not very safe on the university side at night (homeless people asking for donations). Some rooms have roaches/bugs but they are spraying them regularly.
I am taking 1 star off because I was promised to get a part of my security deposit mailed to my new address, but didn't get it after two months, and my calls/emails are not answered. Review from Google
Nov 2016: I'm currently living here for 3 months now I love it staff is amazing there very nice! don't go by the negative on these other reviews it's honestly quite and for being by tech the price is no doubt great!

Jul 2016: The authority is really cooperative. Cindy is a really nice lady and acts on any complaint immediately. I just extended the contract for another year. I look forward to staying here during my PhD studies. 5 star! Review from Google
Jun 2016: It is the worst place u can find in lbb to live, stay away from here! Do not fall for cheap rent! A lot of noises from neighbors, and manager does not solve the problem! And it is getting worse and worse. As it is mentioned in other reviews it will be more smart to go to heritage or so, believe me if you want a quality life do not even think about this complex. as they mentioned when you add up all the utilities plus internet it might be even cheaper the other apartments, with better apartments !!
In short do not waste your life choosing this apartment!!!

Dec 2014: Before you move in, you take consideration on the good things and bad ones. Good things: close to Tech campus, cheap price. Bad things about true problems here: water off problem occurs at least 1-2 times per month, even warm water is off in the winter for a week. This problem is the main reason that causes many residents to move out. This complex is very old, which causes lots of water line problems (water leak occurs every now and then) and water line repairs and maintenance in some unit mostly every month. That is why the water problem is the biggest issue here. Also, bed bugs are around within the complex. Thefts occur since it is right next to the road. Some homeless guys often wander. Mean manager wants to grab money from your pocket as the top priority. Cheap rental rate pays for a high price of it. Review from Google
Jul 2012: This apartment is nice, it comes furnished and with basic utilities and is with in easy walking distance from TTU. Even though the furnishing and apartment aren't the highest quality the price to rest is compensating for it.
Would definitely recommend this for a poor student.
