Feb 2018: I love living at the Avenue!! The clubhouse staff are always super friendly, helpful, and professional. The apartments are HUGE l!! I personally love the free tanning beds and the gym!! definitely recommend living here if you’re a student! Review from Google Jan 2018: I absolutely love my apartment here. The manager was very accommodating on move in and was able to help me secure a short term lease as I am going to be a December grad! The bedrooms are massive and the provided furniture is nicer than most places. The maintenance staff is usually pretty prompt about fixing our issues and the maintenance manager even gave us a direct phone number to reach him when we were having issues with our heater so it could get fixed immidiately. The property is always super clean and there is never a shortage of parking spaces right outside your front door! Review from Google Dec 2017: Living at The Avenue has been a real pleasure. I have had several less than desirable experiences living at other apartment communities in Lubbock. If you are looking for professional and friendly staff along with great amenities you can’t go wrong with The Avenue at Lubbock. Review from Google Dec 2017: great apartments love the pool the staff is very helpful. Ivy Facio did a great job touring. I can’t live without that coffee machine. Review from Google Dec 2017: I’ve lived here for 3 years and could not be happier. The staff is so accommodating and helpful. If there’s been ANY issue, Ivy Faccio has been more than helpful. She’s really gone above and beyond, ask for her and you won’t be sorry. Review from Google Aug 2017: Living at The Avenue was hands down my most positive student housing experience. The management/staff is very personal and makes a point to connect with you and know all the residents on a name basis. My personal apartment was great, and I knew if I ever needed anything fixed or had concerns they would be addressed immediately. On top of that, the facilities are top of the line. The pool is always fun, and the gym is the biggest apartment gym I have ever had. Live here and you'll never want to leave! Review from Google May 2017: Horrible experience. Due to safety concerns I am having to leave my apartment 2 months early, while still continuing to pay. Management refuses to work with you in order to help this process go smoother, and they're too concerned with being "in the right" and "not stepping on toes" rather than help their residents when they're scared for their safety in their own place of living.
Review from 5/25/17 on Google Apr 2017: Today I logged onto the Ave website to pay my rent and I see two fees: 1) New Key & 2) Late Rent. First, I only asked for a mailbox key because the one provided did not work. Why should I pay $25 for their mistake? Secondly, I pay my rent each month on the 5th because of my pay cycle. The front desk knows this. I stipulated this upon my move-in. Nope -- they have basically raised my rent each month and because of this clause in the contract they claim it can't be changed. I stood in the clubhouse lobby today complaining about these facts when another tenant comes in complaining that they've been egged THREE TIMES!
Review from 4/1/17 on Google Jan 2017: The clubhouse has a full gym, a very nice pool area, a pool table and table tennis among other amenities. There is free bus service to campus that runs every 10 minutes. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. I just got a bill for more than a months rent to cover "damages" including command strip damages(6 of them at $25 each)! Are you kidding me? The idea behind command strips is they don't do damage to the walls. But according to Victoria who is supposed to be the account manager, command strips do leave damages sometimes. $125 worth??? Really? So many fraudulent charges, but they know that they can steal college kids' money. Shameful to say the least. Do NOT rent at the Avenue unless you are okay with paying for fraudulent charges. The management is inept and wouldn't know what the word "ethical" means to save their lives. Sad!! Jul 2016: The staff were very helpful and the over all quality of these apartments were great. One of the top quality student living apartment complexs in Lubbock. Jun 2016: The absolute worst experience I have ever had with a business or corporation.
Let's rewind about seven months when I signed onto a lease with two other gentlemen.
Within this seven month period personal health issues and financial issues forced me to abandon my life and education in Lubbock to return to my hometown. In addition to these personal happenings, I had also come to find out one of the individuals I was suppose to be sharing the lease with committed an act of sexual assault. All these events that were completely unavoidable on my part.
I informed the staff of my situation. The rest became very ugly, very fast.
Review from 6/9/16 on Yelp Dec 2014: The avenue meets all of your apartment needs. The apartment is furnished with everything from kitchen appliances to furniture. If you enjoy grilling, the apartment comes with a space by the back door for your grill. These other features are available,Stainless steel appliances, Extra large bedroom, Walk-in closet, Large bathroom,Full-size washer and dryer, Guest bathroom, Linen closet in bathroom, and Luxury brand-name furniture package available. The clubhouse offers these amenities the largest fitness center in Lubbock, Spin room, Yoga studio with P90x and Insanity, Computer lab with both Mac's and PC's, Cyber cafe, Conference room and study center, Stand up tanning beds, Game room featuring pool tables, ping pong, shuffleboard and a custom poker table, Movie theater, and Golf simulator. you can park your car in a lot next to the apartment current resident 11/14 Oct 2014: The Ave has the highest amount of amenities and there is a bus stop to take you to and from school! (Current Resident 10/27/2014) Jun 2014: These apartments are typical student housing apartments just like all of the other ones. The only reason I picked The Ave was because it was new and looked promising. From living here for almost a year now, I have learned that looks are definitely deceiving. The apartments are built from the cheapest material and you can hear your neighbors conversations. The furniture provided is nice, but once again cheap. Everything from our coffee table to all 5 bar stools wobble because they weren't properly assembled. The internet is poor and costs an arm and a leg to upgrade your internet. The clubhouse is nice and the amenities look promising until you realize that everything is broken. From broken golf clubs to pool sticks to ping pong paddles, there is never a complete set that isn't broken.
