Dec 2020: The company McDougal Properties along with Stratford place apartments are scammers. I recently submitted an application and was told that a deposit has to be turned in along with the application fee. I didn’t sign a lease for the apartment, I didn’t make any legal promises or obligations to move into this apartment complex. I decided since this unit was not move in ready, and previous tenants belongings were still in here, and that I didn’t want to wait until January 1st I wanted my security deposit back. I was told this deposit was completely refundable, however it was not going to be refunded to me. Management told me to “chalk it up to a lossâ€, and that the answer for receiving my $300 security deposit on an apartment I didn’t sign a lease for, agree to live in, and overall don’t want to be at was no. I’m not understanding why I would be told to

These are the best apartments in Lubbock. When i came here i checked all of the places but this place is best because of many reasons like very clean, cheap, airy, area of the apartment is large as compared to any other 2 bed apartments here. Very nice people are living here, mostly good families. No noise at night, staff is really nice and cooperative and workers are good too. Overall very very good.I recommend this place to friends too.
Review from 3/21/16 on Apartment RatingsJan 2016: This place is dingy, sketchy as hell.... (We have heard many gunshots in this area). My car was broken into, and my friends lived in this apartment complex the same time as us and ended up breaking their lease because THEIR APARTMENT WAS BROKEN INTO. (No surprise there, considering that the locks on the door don't even work that well. One kick, and poof! The door would fall off.)
The maintenance a few months ago lied to our landlord, Trisha (who doesn't even work here anymore...surprise surprise.....and neither do the maintenance men that lied lol) about us having a dog when we clearly didn't.

Jan 2016: I have greatly enjoyed my stay at Stratford Place and find it easy to renew my lease. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a great apt! The floor plan and with W/D connections in EVERY apt! The new staff is great and very easy to work with!
