Oct 2019: Amazing staff! Love living at a place where they go above and beyond! (: Review from GoogleSep 2019: My fire alarm broke down in March after heavy rains (it had water leaking trough it). The maintenance guy came in YESTERDAY to install new fire alarm. My dishwasher has mold inside and it deposits SAND onto my dishes after washing. After taking a look at it, I got a note from maintenance crew saying dishwasher is working fine and that I can add baking soda to alleviate the smell. Review from GoogleMar 2019: We moved here a few weeks ago and it has been great. Vanessa, Victoria and April have been great to work with and made the process simple. We would recommend this place to anyone. Here it actually feels like a home away from home. It’s a beautiful place and we love it here.

If you take nothing else away please know that things were pretty bad for awhile, but since the new management/ownership has stepped in, things have made a complete 180, and We wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
My Girlfriend and I moved in around February of 2018, we have genuinely enjoyed our apartment, It was nice, reasonably updated, and quiet. Although I think we encountered a lot of the same issues most did, unhelpful and uncaring management, dog waste everywhere, unresolved service requests, the list can go on for awhile. We didn't know where we were going to move to after our lease was up we just knew we wouldn't stay, the staff would blatantly lie to us about packages, service requests, and would randomly close early for no reason. Review from GoogleOct 2018: Pro's: so far reasonable rent, nice handymen, other tenants relatively quiet and polite, landscape looks nice, if you don't mind dog poop lying in every square foot of the lawn.
Con's: they're constantly breaking tenants' rights. This includes breaking lease agreements and Landlord-Tenant laws, from little things (not receiving items guaranteed on the lease, creating new rules that directly violate lease contract agreements) to larger things (entering your dwelling without notification or consent, threatening "additional charges" as fees for behaviors that are unjustified and unproven, etc). There are standard apartment problems that everyone deals with, but Dakota Arms in Lubbock takes it just a bit further.

Feb 2018: Maintenance Crew walks in when ever we were not home. Got video footage showed it to management and the same guy did it again. Ain't living here no more. Moving back to bentwood Review from GoogleAug 2017: Update (one year later): I am really sad to be leaving this place, but we need to be closer to TTU. Renee, the manager, is probably one of the greatest managers I've ever had in my apartment life. She really cares about DA and its residents. We never had a problem, but, if you do, my advice is to be open about it - the staff is always willing to help, but only if you communicate with them! I hope I am able to live in another place with the same caring staff like DA in the future.

My spouse and I have been here since September of last year and we really haven't had any issues. Rent is reasonable, the staff is great, and the maintenance is fast and reliable. No complaints. Review from GoogleJun 2017: This is a long review, and if you don’t get anything else out of it then I hope you see this- I highly recommend not living here or anywhere else managed by Sunridge Apartment Management. I hope this review gives you a good idea of what to expect in living here and saves you some trouble.
-Pros- I love the location. It is right by my work, friends, and other activities.
-Cons- My husband and I did not have the WORST experience here, but I definitely believe our money could have been better spent elsewhere. We did a walk through in our apartment to make sure we would get our deposit/ pet deposit back. We spent hours cleaning our apartment, filling nail holes, scrubbing grease out of the over, cleaning baseboards, etc. Then we find out that there is a standards cleaning fee- not made clear to us in the lease or by the management AT ALL, plus Review from GoogleJun 2017: We just moved in, and have had no complaints so far! Wonderful staff, and the maintenance people are friendly and very helpful. The property is well kept, the gym clean, and the halls to the apartments are clean and organized. As for everything else: This complex is VERY well priced for what you receive. Everything here is nice and well taken care of, and we are looking forward to continuing to live here! Couldn't ask for better. I love how willing they are to work with you too and how fast things get fixed. My only issue is how people do not keep their dogs on leashes or pick up after them. I had a dog bite me and a dog I was taking care of last year. Wish people living in a nice place would respect it and respect the people around too. Other than that 5/5

Unless you have a ton of money to throw in the trash and a good attorney. You would be better off living out of your car. These people nickle and dime you out of every last cent you have. They do so without even batting an eye. If you do business with Sunridge Management you will be very very sorry.(9/25/2015 current resident)Mar 2015: We have lived here for 6 months and don't have any complaints. The staff and management has been here about the same time and they are great! Management has always helped and listened to us in every problem we have had. Staff is so friendly and nice. Maintenance people are very nice and assertive fixing our water faucet replacing air filters monthly etc. Complex is quite and clean from the very nice workout room, bathrooms, media room, clubhouse and pool area. We recommend Dakota arms if you like pleasant tenants and staff (3/23/2015 Current resident)Sep 2014: This complex is the nicest you'll find in SW Lubbock that offers 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartments. Apartment is spacious, has a great floor plan, includes fridge, breakfast bar, rentable washer/dryer option and laundry on-site, and includes vaulted ceilings in living area and fireplace. Complex is very well kept, gated, and quiet. Great for families and students. Though we do not have pets, it is a pet friendly complex. Pool and gym access included. Car Port and Garages available for rent. Overall, we have been very pleased with our experience here at Dakota Arms. (Resident LSW)Jun 2014: Even with the newest staff things are not taken care of. We have a window seal that leaks. I told the office about it over a week ago. The lady told me "well that's what happens with older complexes" and its still not fixed! I can't get a ceiling fan fixed either and we've been in this apartment since January! We've been in the complex for a year total so far and as soon as we can get out of here we will! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! They don't run the trash compactor often enough so it piles up and there's mice and rats that run through it. The trash at the mailboxes is constantly running over. It's way over priced. Do not move here. The manager is very rude and the other girls are never the same!
