Jul 2019: Apartment was good value and fine but management really nickel and dimed on us on the way out for ~$100 of highly debatable charges. Was it worth a legal battle? No. Is it accretive from a time perspective to just pay it? Yes, and I presume that's the thought process management has.
In summary, expect move out to cost you ~$100 even if you spend time cleaning the apartment Review from Google Jul 2019: The absolutely worse management I've ever seen!!! don't rent from this apartment complex. They will nickle and dime you for everything once you move out. If you have any maintaince or mold issues don't expect it to be fixed. The only positive thing I can say is that the apartment complex is in a good location and that's it. Other then that I would run for the hills before I would recommend anyone to stay here. Review from Google Apr 2019: Please stay away from this apartment complex, you can find much better deals for the same price elsewhere. I was about to recommend 3 friends to live here but I have told them to look elsewhere, I have been a resident for 4 years and have been treated disrespectfully and unprofessionally. Management and their maintenance staff desperately need better training on how to treat customers respectfully, retain and get more business.
The first 2 years when I was a resident were very good, management staff was prompt and professional, but the last 2 years have been beyond awful.
1. My friends car has been broken into along with several other residents’ cars
2. Mail theft is an on-going issue, residents brought it up to the property manager but there has been no real end to this menace for the past 2 years
3. Management is rude and tends to "clap back", instead of understanding resident's concerns [I have email evidence of this behavior]
4 Review from Google Apr 2019: My concerns with the overall management with MAA at Post Stratford. I received an email in addition to, a letter on my door Tuesday, March 19thstating the leasing office has elected to not renew my lease that ends June 30, 2019. Neither notification stated the reasons for non-renewal. I proceeded to ask the Property Manager, Melanie Burrell, in person about document and she stated she did not know. She stated she received an anonymous “list of names†and my name had been included on the list. Melanie then reassured me as a tenant I did not have any complaints, nor discrepancies with other tenants during my residency at Post Stratford. As professional who is very familiar to the nature of leadership roles, I find it hard to believe that she is oblivious towards an issue that she adamantly made sure I was aware of.
My concern stems from a jaded history with Post Stratford, when you consider the malfunctioned apartment I blindly signed into August 2018 Review from Google Feb 2019: Once again I find myself frustrated with the quality of management at this place. The apartments themselves are nice as well as the neighbors. The quality of customer service that management provides however is lousy. I am Georgia National Guardsmen currently deployed in Afghanistan in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel. Rather than exercise my USERRA rights and terminate my lease, I decided to hold on to my apartment. I had my auto pay setup to take rent out of my bank account at the beginning of the month like most people do. Their system withdrew rent from my account in December and January without any issue however for some reason in February it didn’t withdraw. In the midst of dealing with several 107mm rocket attacks from the Taliban on the FOB where I’m stationed, one that blew up a building 60 feet away from me, I hadn’t b Review from Google Sep 2018: The first year at Post was great, the second year was awful. In addition to a number of ridiculous policies (including asking us to take photos of our neighbors if they didn't clean up after their dogs and not notifying us of a shooting in the parking garage), they charged us bogus cleaning fees upon leaving. The apartments are overpriced for how outdated they are, in my opinion, and I highly recommend living somewhere else. Review from Google Jul 2018: My husband and I love living here. The staff is very friendly, responsive
and professional. They post notices and provide emails to keep residents informed of upcoming events that might impact them.
Adults living in the apartments are expected to assist in maintaining the buildings and grounds by taking responsiblility for cleaning up areas, after use by the resident or pets.
Although some apartments could use updating, apartments are well maintained. The pool, courtyards and grilling areas are beautiful and well kept.
We would recommend Post Stratford to anyone. Review from Google Jul 2018: While a lot of the recent reviews on here are accurate, I still think Post Stratford is one of the best places to live (best bang for your buck) in Buckhead. Yes, the management is not as good as it used to be before MAA purchased the property but the staff is okay. Yes, they power washed the parking deck and it was a pain to move my car to avoid towing but I read the email and saw the signs posted on each floor so I knew where not to park. Yes, they installed a locker system for receiving packages and it's silly to charge residents to use it but I set up my account free of charge withing the 1 week time window. The new locker system is much more convenient and efficient since I can use it beyond the office hours and don't have to spend an hour sorting through all of the residents packages, I just type in a code and a locker pops open with my Review from Google Jul 2018: It's too bad, this place is in a quite scenic location with a beautiful garden a nice pool and for the most part nice neighbors, but like everyone else who's given an honest review of this place the staff is awful and treats residents with no respect.
I just lost a package I ordered because the management decided without asking anyone to switch from having a package room to using a company called parcel pending that uses lockers to store residents items (which residents have to pay to use). I was at military training with my National Guard unit when they sent out an email (which I missed) that you had something like 5 days to register for this system or your packages wouldn't be accepted. Anyway, my package was delivered but they wouldn't accept it, and didn't bother asking who delivered it or where I could it pick it up, so I have no idea Review from Google Jun 2018: WORST place to live in buckhead. Unfortunately have to agree with all the other bad reviews stating the employees here do not care about you and are only looking to be lazy and screw you out of more money. There are many things wrong that go unfixed. Instead of fixing a coke machine they simply ignored requests for 6 months then said they fixed it when in fact they REMOVED it. Not even URGENT issues such as HUGE leaks from the ceiling in the master bedroom get fixed when requested. It is so frustrating to pay high rent to live in such conditions. My ceiling leaks enough to fill up a water bottle every 5 minutes every time it rains. We live in GEORGIA; it rains often. I have lived here for two years and given them chance after chance to get better but they simply do not care about people. I cannot wait to move out. The leak has been going on fo Review from Google May 2018: This place does not even deserve one star, but I had to add it. The management is horrendous. There have been countless issues regarding mail and theft. For 3 months, someone was intercepting everyone's mail and stole very sensitive information, checks, etc. Absolutely nothing was done to avoid this. And when tenants complained, nothing was done to fix the matter. The didn't even apologize. The only reason why it stopped was because the verdict stopped, not because management did anything to alleviate it.
They charge unreasonable fees with absolutely no grounds. Every tenant leaves trash outside their doors, but then when their neighbor does it for a MERE 2 minutes (just to grab something inside their apartment) they get reported.
Here's a list of other things that happened that management does not care to do anything about:
- Friend's ca Review from Google May 2018: Where do I even begin...
Honestly the list is so incredibly long and I don’t have the patience or time to sit here and type them ALL up, but here are several of the biggest problems that I genuinely feel every person considering living here should know:
Management is god awful, they don’t give a damn about the residents or anything that happens to them and they will constantly try to screw you over for more money.
1. My boyfriends car has been broken into along with several other residents’ cars because security and safety is not a concern for Post Stratford.
2. I found MONTHS worth of residents’ mail stolen and hidden in the gym/pool bathrooms which led to identity theft. That of course was terrible to have to deal with in itself, but when I informed management about it, their only response was “yikes!†And told me to take it Review from Google Dec 2017: Great place. Love the apartment. Very well priced for the area. Review from Google Jun 2017: I wont recommend living here, too many cars were vandalized in my 1.5 year of living. Common areas are usually very dirty and Management is always waiting on "Saying No" to every thing you ask from them. There are better places to lives in the same rent around buckhead, I made a mistake you dont. Find a better place if you want to give away so much rent. Review from Google Jun 2017: My husband and I love this apartment. The pricing can't be beat for such a central location and a large apartment. It is directly next to the Buckhead Marta Station and conveniently located for highway access. Many features in our apartment are outdated (laminate flooring and kitchen counters) but we don't mind. The amenities (pool, gym, grills) are great and we use them often. the staff is very kind and is happy to help you whenever possible. No pests or noisy neighbors. We would definitely recommend Post Stratford! Review from Google May 2017: I have lived here for one year starting back in the summer of 2016. Maintenance is very quick with everything. Management is great. Excellent location. Access to Marta. Rent is well priced for the area. I would rate 5 stars if it wasn't for the vandalism and car break-ins that occur in parking garage. My car was vandalized (people took logos off of my car rims). Additionally, in the year I lived here, I saw approximately 5-6 cars with busted out windows. Gates are usually locked but somehow outsiders manage to get in. If you have a good car alarm then you'll be fine. Review from Google Oct 2016: I just moved into the Post Stratford at the end of September and so far so good. The staff is very courteous and friendly. They respond quickly to requests. The apartments are extremely secure which makes me feel safe. There are several layers of security to protect the property from outsiders. My specific apartment has lots of nice upgrades in the kitchen. One downside to the kitchen is that there isn't a microwave. Also, there is supposedly a courtesy officer here 24/7 but I've never actually seen him/her. So far so good. I'll update if I remember at the end of my stay here. Review from Google
