Aug 2018: My daughter and I had an appointment Sunday and our guide was JASMINE. She was awesome, Soooo polite and very knowledgeable of the policies, and even if she wasn't sure she got back with us. We even asked to come back an hour after we left and she was more than happy to show us the apartments again. Her customer service skills are through the roof and I am so glad for my daughter to be moving there.
We had 3 different apartments in mind, but she sealed the deal on our second visit there and I don't even think she knows her personality CLOSED THE DEAL for us. Review from Google Aug 2018: Very close to campus makes college life super easy Jul 2018: Very fast service if something ever needs fixing! Great place to live! Jul 2018: James and Jasmine were super friendly! Had a great interaction with the Renaissance staff and this seems like a great place to live. They seem to really care about their residents and are more than willing to help. Review from Google Jun 2018: The maintenance guy John is extremely friendly and always willing to help. He does a great job the first time. Always ask for him Review from Google May 2018: The maintenance staff Mr. Isaac has always been extremely helpful. He is one you can always count on If you want the job done. Review from Google May 2018: The maintenance man Issac is amazing! When ever something needs to be fixed he’s on it! Very nice and a great addition to the renaissance staff! Review from Google Apr 2018: I lived in the renaissance while in school in statesboro and it’s great! The whole staff is awesome and they will help you with anything you need! The rent price is very low but the quality of the apartments are great! Review from Google Mar 2018: Pros: Close to campus, relatively cheaper than the other nearby apartments.
Cons:
-Dingy carpets and poor interior lighting. The interior of a typical Renaissance apartment could be described as "hobo chic." Although I'm pretty sure the original color of the carpet was a light beige, there's a whole assortment of faded stains--some pink, some grey, some blue,--that make most of the floor look like a rough sketching of an art major. The light bulbs continuously and randomly go out, even after they've been freshly replaced. At night, navigating your dimly lit & flickering apartment while avoiding questionable carpet stains will make a stroll to the kitchen feel like walking through a city alleyway. I don't know if its because the complex is so old, but there are plenty of other much cleaner & much newer complexes around.
-Spotty Internet. T Review from Google Mar 2018: Maintenance is fast and makes sure that the job is done right! They front office is very helpful and assists anything that you need and have answers for any question about the property that you may have! The private gym is nice and the complex itself has improved very much since new ownership had taken over! Keep up the good work and this place will be awesome in no time! Review from Google Feb 2018: The matinence men are hands down the best aspect of the Renaissance Apartments!!! They are exceptional at making sure everything in your apartment is functioning properly and you are living comfortably. Thank you to them for making my stay here a little more bearable! Review from Google Jan 2018: I wouldn’t recommend nobody to stay at the Renaissance! First college year in Statesboro and my friend suggested to stay here but once we started staying here , it turned out horrible! They don’t like fixing anything that’s broken ! They don’t like too compromise with college students! And they do late fee’s I understand adding money on for being late but not adding on every day until you pay up ! They don’t care about none of the residents that stays out here ! If you’re coming to Statesboro for school ! Don’t move out here because they’re horrible and they apartments doesn’t look like anything how they show on the website ! Review from Google Jan 2018: Out of many different apartments that I have looked at the past couple months, the Renaissance is the best one hands-down, and not just because of the great pricing. The location to campus is unbeatable, however, the Renaissance manages to retain it’s own independence. The grounds are well maintained and the inside of the apartments look just as good. The staff seemed well informed, knowledgeable and willing to help. Other residents I have talked to has loved their experience so far. Finally, the Renaissance has been the only apartment willing to let me lease when I wanted to instead of giving me the cold shoulder which was an automatic deal closer. If you are a student at Georgia Southern and want to live off campus, I suggest the Renaissance. Review from Google Dec 2017: PLEASE FOLKS... STAY AWAY FROM THIS INSENSITIVE MANAGEMENT IN RENNAICANCE HOMES. Safe your life now or never. If you check below, I posted a complaint about 2 weeks ago and yet nothing substantial was done by the useless management of Rennaicance Homes. This is the remix of the post and the worst happened few days ago and a pistol gun was pointed to kill a Nigerian in apt 100. We thank God for the quick intervention of the friends and 911. Upon all official complaint made by the occupants, the useless and insensitive management of the Rennaicance Apartments Homes will be held accountable. If not today then in the future.

If you want to live healthy and happy, please just make sure you choose room mates before you sign their foolish contract. Because the moment you sign, you might regret it while you live your whole li Review from Google Oct 2017: As of being a resident here for 10 plus month, I must say the experience has been a great one. The property is maintain in excellent conditions. The staff in the office is awesome. The Renaissance offer great amenities and things to participate in every month. I haven’t had an issue at all. Keep up the great work! Review from Google Oct 2017: The maintenance staff that work in this complex are amazing people! He is always so courteous to all the residents, always willing to give a helping hand. Completes work in a fast and timely manner. Trustworthy and gives a sense of safety due to the fact they are always present throughout the complex. The Leasing Office itself has a problem with delayed request. Other than that, Dendrick and Kate are my favs. Unless willing to go through the process, Do not come as a visitor because you cannot park in the designated visitors parking unless you have a visitors pass, thinking that was the whole point of a designated lot you will risk having your car towed . To each is own. Review from Google May 2017: My name is Debra and I am a resident at the renaissance apartments of which I've been a tenet for 4 years. It has been a wonderful place to live it has changed each year and gotten better I love the staff here they very friendly and accommodating and the 24 hour mantinence service is great and the remodeled apartments are beautiful my son Cayne and I enjoy the convenience to campus there is a campus bus that will take college students right to both college campuses so you dont need to spend any gas money and they are pet friendly.
Review from 5/26/17 on Google May 2017: Dont move here there gonna fine you for anything they can think off the even iff it has nothing to do with you they dont fix appliances until weeks later the assistant manager is rude and is doesnt care about the renters, my neighbor got fined for cigarette buds and he doesnt even smoke, i got fined 115$ cause they failed to tell me they evicted my ex roommate and he came back and was still there a month later THEY ARE VERY MONEY HUNGRY, my ceiling started pouring water from upstairs after they evicted another neighbor and destroyed my game and furniture in my front room and they didnt help with anything i had to sleep at a friends house 3 days till they decided to move me next door and this apartment looked like trash when they moved me in.
Review from 5/12/17 on Google Apr 2017: This apartment complex is terrible. Staff is rude, they try to intentionally annoy their residence, maintenance is terrible and never take care of issues. The only way to get things done is to call corporate and then magically things get taken care of.
Also, if you look at the good reviews that sound like people that work here, or only came for the pool party. The pool party was terrible and people were smoking pot and drinking in the pool area.
Please do not live here, this is a horrible place to live and I can't wait to get out of here in July.
Review from 4/10/17 on Google Apr 2017: This is by far the worst apartment complex in Statesboro. The staff is mean, argumentative, do what they want and enforce only rules that benefit them in some way. A lot of the staff lives here on the property and they are rude, do what they want, but then tell the residents that they aren't allowed to do what they do because they have special privileges for working here. Roaches are a huge issue, drugs are a huge issue too. This place is terrible. Please do NOT live here. There are so many other great places you can live.
Review from 4/10/17 on Google Dec 2016: Not exactly the safest part of the city, not the best-looking and best-kept complex, and there's a bit of a roach problem (what else is new), but it's pretty good for the price, I guess. Maintenance guys are chill, the place is biking distance to campus, and all the electronics and plumbing work pretty well. Good for if you're on a budget and need a decent place to stay off-campus.
Review from 12/25/16 on Google Nov 2016: If you enjoy roaches, fleas ,and armed robbery !!!! This is for you .! They have the best liars in the office around town they will tell you anything to get you trapped into a lease . PARENTS please if you care about your child take them ANYWHERE yes I said ANYWHERE but here.
Review from 11/14/16 on Google May 2016: I was told the rooms were newly remodeled, doesn't seem like they did a very good job, I could give a list but I don't want to bash on the place. The staff in the office is friendly and they have added a new gym, which is nice, and the pool is usually clean. I was told there would be BBQ pits, still waiting on those. As far as the pricing goes it's a bit expensive for what your going to get. Location is good if your a student here. I'm not a student just traveling for work so this was ideal for me.
Review from 5/3/16 on Google Apr 2016: Do NOT rent from hear! All they want to do is collect rent. The onsite management will take you request for repairs but will not follow through. The maintenance man will enter your apartment without proper notice NOT to fix anything but to snoop around especially when your not home. I am an eye witness to this. Also be aware of the bogus overage charges that they asses without proof. Please keep in touch with the electric company on your usage to ensure your not being RIPPED OFF. Get familiar of your tenants rights and keep copies of Everything you sign or any correspondence you have with these people. Leave a paper trail!
