Mendel Villas offers 32 units right by UCF. These units are at a price for the UCF student on a budget. Mendel Villas is somewhat sandwiched between The Edge and The Marquee. It is right next to and after The Marquee on Alafaya going away from University Blvd toward Colonial. Driving toward Colonial on Alafaya allows you an easy right turn into the area, in the other direction you may have to rely on the light at Central Florida for a u turn.
These apartments were built in 1982. As with all things some places are well taken care of and look good others seem to be in poor condition. So if its one that has been renovated and upgraded give it a chance. The plus here is if you have guests or multiple cars, your own private driveway may be a huge advantage over the other areas where the economy seems to be someone parks, someone tows, someone has to pay, and someone gets mad. There are some rent signs in the area give them a call and see if it meets your needs....
