Mar 2017: Camden forest staff is very friendly and it helps that they are around the age of many student living here it makes talking to them a lot easier. So far my experience with camden has been great. They keep everything clean and nice looking.
Review from 3/20/17 on Google Oct 2016: This is the most expensive student living apartment complex I have heard of. I wish I had of searched more but was in need of a place fast. If you want to end your lease early YOU have to find a sub leaser. My old apartment complex helped me find a sub leaser. I was also told I could most likely switch to a shorter lease then later told this was not possible. My room did not get new carpeting unlike the other 2 rooms in the building. It is just overly expensive when you could live in another complex for cheaper.
Review from 10/10/16 on Google Oct 2016: So far my experience at Camden Forest has been amazing. It's a very quiet community that also encourages people to come together and get to know their neighbors at community events.
Review from 10/9/16 on Google Oct 2016: It's a nice and safe neighborhood, but it can sometimes be too loud! We also pay too much for how bad the wifi is. The living space and bedrooms are all very nice, and the maintenance team is very polite!
Review from 10/4/16 on Google Jul 2016: Camden seems great until you get to know the management. This place is run by a bunch of young college kids who have no idea what they are doing. They do not care about the happiness of their current residents- they are only focused on signing leases for future residents. They change your lease without your consent and they always try to trick you into paying extra money when you owe them nothing. They don't turn over apartments when residents move out- so they are always dirty. DO NOT LIVE HERE you will regret it. Feb 2016: Love Camden Forrest! Not only is it gated but it's off the main road. The pool and clubhouse are so nice as well as the apartments and townhouses. They truly exemplify luxury living!
Review from 2/22/16 on Google Feb 2016: Awesome apartments but I will never release or suggest anybody to these apartments due to the fact the staff is AWFUL. If you have an issue, they have no problem being rude and disrespectful...even to parents!! And they refuse to let you speak to an actual manager. It really makes for a terrible experience.
Review from 2/18/16 on Google Feb 2016: Camden is one of the best student housing properties in Wilmington. They include all of the utilities with the rent so it's super convenient because I don't have to worry about paying four separate bills. Camden also does a TON of resident events, which is nice because it really shows they care about the residents. If you're looking for a nice student apartment to live in for a low price, this is definitely the place!
Review from 2/1/16 on Google Dec 2015: The review below is also my review. Although everything I said is true, I do not think there is much that the staff can do to combat these problems. Many would say everything below is a part of the college experience. Although, many of the people are obnoxious. We are also a tight knit community. Many groups of people are friends. It's not hard to make friends here in general. The apartment office holds get togethers and bloc parties for holidays and important school dates (like exams) and there is always free food and socializing. Maintenance here is above average. The staff in general are great. I feel like I was too negative in my review without listings some positives. I still think you can do better for the money. With the dog poop being everywhere a negative, the positive is that Camden is very pet friendly. Your pets will make friends. Many have pets Dec 2015: im only going to list the negs bc the positives are on their website.
Bad: For a good portion of the time I have lived here, the doggie bag stations have been empty. This led to so much dog crap on the grass everywhere. You literally could not take a step without getting your shoes In poop. Even when the stations were filled people still did not pick up after their animals. People in general are irresponsible here. There are cigarette butts everywhere, fossilized puke in apartment walkways, purposely revving car's engines at sleeping hours, and people screaming outside to the point you can hear it in the apartment. Lots of drug use and trash everywhere. None of this stuff gets picked up by the staff and no one is punished. This is a very dirty place to live. The apartment's insides are nice though. Overall, at 715 a month, you can do better for the price. Oct 2015: I love living in Camden forest, the people in the office are very nice and friendly. And if there is ever a problem with my apartment, the maintenance is there fairly quickly. It's very convenient that the bus comes in to the parking lot.
Review from 10/22/2015 on Google Oct 2015: Not a bad place to live, but terrible place to visit, YOUR CAR WILL GET TOWED. It would be nice if you know, they had visible signs of where to park if you are a visitor, but there is not. I guess they just expect you to drive around to find visitor parking, oh wait that's what management (the assistant property manager) told me when there was a conversation about reimbursement for the towing expense. No visitor pass was given to the person I visited as well. I even asked if I could speak to the actual proper manager and she refused to give me her information. Even better, management handled the situation poorly and had staff yelling back. I hope they create a nice homemade sign where visitors can park, that might be helpful :)
Review from 10/4/2015 on Google May 2015: Nice furniture, good sized rooms and closets. Very nice clubhouse and pool. It's also convenient that we can use the Wilshire Landing clubhouse and tanning bed. Only con is they have a young staff/management that is not as experienced as other apartment complexes.
