Feb 2020: I loved this place; it was everything I needed and wanted. Private room, tons of storage, laundry room, good amount of space. I totally intended on renewing and living here until I graduated. Then Redstone took over and ruined everything. They decided to raise rent 24.6% more than what I had been paying for renewals and new residents after initial contracts ended (that's $81!). My utilities were, on average, $29.64 for 9 months of living here (I did the math). Utilities are expected to increase to a flat fee of $40, even though they're installing solar panels that "will help reduce the cost of your utilities." The only parking fee I paid was a deposit for a garage door opener that should be returned to me when I leave and return the opener. According to the unclear information they have given us, there will be an additional fee for parking now! Feb 2020: The garage is so nice and holds a lot of us, and there's an extra lot behind the building for overflow, disappointing that it will now be an additional charge. The change of our payment to an online system cost me a credit card fee I didn't have before! Redstone is doing tons of renovations that I'm sure will be nice, but for the most part are very unnecessary! It is very comfortable here as it is. "Over $25,000 will be going into each apartment" not because the complex necessarily needs it, but to squeeze every dime they can out of us. The previous management, Laresen Real Estate, was much kinder that this and much more organized, even if it was a little less professionally done. We were supposed to have monthly cleaning checks that haven't happened in three months since being taken over. Feb 2020: We've already gone through two managers because of the lack of communication from the first guy! Very unprofessional. They also didn't let us know how much rent would increase until the week after the annual BYU housing fair, restricting us from easily being able to look for other housing, then gave us 48 hours to decide whether or not to renew our contracts before opening it up to the public. Their crappy mailing system didn't even reach some of the residents with that crucial information. It is a ridiculous increase in rent especially because of our lack of extra facilities and distance from campus. After 20 months of being in difficult living situations I thought I had finally found a good place, but now I am sadly eager to leave Fleur-de-Lis. Dec 2018: Managers are excellent. Only ever had positive interactions with them. So funny too Review from Google
