Aug 2021: Why won’t you post my review? Aug 2021: Moved my daughter in 5 days ago. The place is FILTHY and bug infested! A lot of damage as well. Notified office on day one and NOTHING! No response. No action. NOTHING! Tomorrow, they hear my wrath. Aug 2021: Why won’t you post my review? Aug 2019: So, here we are making our first payment to U Center. Log in, put in banking info. and click on "pay electronically". And, a $19.95 convenience fee pops up. WHAT? Moreover, you cannot set up the monthly debit in the same month (even on the 1st) you are paying. So, catch again, $19.95.
An "electronic check" is an ACH transaction. No credit card fees or extra processing.
This is a scam. Very disappointing that they leave you No Option to just pay what is due. Review from Google Jul 2019: Staff if very nice and helpful! It was a great place for daughter for her first year away. can't beat the location and the amenities are great! Review from Google Aug 2018: Lived here for three years and would absolutely do it again! The location is unbeatable and its so close to the engineering building you can literally walk to class. The maintenance staff is incredible and promptly responds to work-orders. There were periods in the past were we had wifi outages and the property manager was quick to respond to get the company out to fix it and switch companies when they weren't performing their best. The gym, pool and hot tub are great amenities to have and make UCentre an excellent value if you are looking for a place to live. Review from Google Jun 2018: I've lived there from 2015-2017 and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Amazing staff, super knowledgeable and use common sense. Great location and clean apartments. The maintenance crew is top notch. I recommend this place to everyone I know and my sister goes there now. Every apartment will have horror stories and bad reviews but I'm here to say that this place will more than likely exceed your needs. You can stumble back from Northgate and still make it to your 8am. I do wish the hot tub was open 24/7 but it basically is if you know what you're doing. Review from Google May 2018: Not loyal to their clients. As a resident who is re-signing, it would seem that they would be trustworthy in their prices. Just after I re-signed (for the “best dealâ€) they dropped their prices dramatically. Do not sign early with ucentre. Review from Google Jan 2018: Ucentre is a great place to live if you are a student at Texas A&M! While the rent is a little pricey, the location is great and the property itself is very attractive and inviting. Overall, the people who work here are really nice and helpful, and the amenities are all really nice. My main complaint is not having recycling, which I hope they will start doing for the upcoming semester! Overall great place! Review from Google Jan 2018: U Centre is a wonderful property. I chose to come live at U Centre for my freshman year instead of living on campus and it did not disappoint! I bike to campus and it takes me 5-10 minutes to get anywhere on main campus. It has beautiful amenities and is always clean. If you enjoy working out, or even want to start, it is so easy at U Centre because the gym is spacious and so much more convenient than driving to the overcrowded rec. The staff is so friendly and maintenance fixes things very quick! I already renewed my lease for the following year. Review from Google Jan 2018: I love living here! The staff is always super nice and helpful and they even remember my name. There hours are really good so its easy to reach them and my work orders never take longer than 2 days. Its also a super short walk from campus so I can ride my bike or walk every day in just 10 minutes! Review from Google Jan 2018: I've lived at U Centre at Northgate for 2 years now, and I believe it's the best deal on near-campus apartments in the city. Besides the fair pricing and nice amenities, the staff at U Centre are always helpful and respond to work orders quickly. I've dealt with poor apartment complex management before, so U Centre's management is a breath of fresh air. I wholeheartedly recommend living here. Review from Google Jan 2018: U Center is absolutely FANTASTIC! I wanted to stay in an apartment instead of a dorm my freshman year because I wanted my own personal space. I have my own room and bathroom, awesome roommates, and I am very pleased with my living arrangements. Being vegetarian, I also cook the majority of my meals, and the kitchen's size and furnishings are just perfect. But, I didn't realize that living at U Center would be so much more than just a room of my own. The community here is amazing. All of the CAs are super nice and helpful, and I'm never hesitant to ask for assistance. Also, the proximity to the engineering buildings is great. Overall, U Center truly feels like a home, and I hopefully will be renewing my lease! Review from Google May 2017: The apartment has really nice amenities -- pool, 24 hr gym, clubhouse and is pretty new which is a plus. It is also close to campus, I can ride my bike to class in 5 minutes. Also, the staff and maintenance are super friendly and almost always available. The biggest drawbacks are...
1) Extremely thin walls. This is a big issue for me. It's hard to feel that you have privacy when you can hear everything.
2) Parking issues: tow trucks are constantly called to remove visitors parked in resident parking. This happens bc there are very limited visitor spots, far away from most buildings (inconvenient for visitors to park and walk 5+ minutes to get to apartment).
Review from 5/20/17 on Google Feb 2017: I love living at U Centre. The location can't be beat. It's a short walk to campus and various restaurants, and I've always felt very safe. The rooms, gym, and pool are great! Plus, the staff is very friendly and always there to help. They also do a lot of fun community events, which I love!
Review from 2/19/17 on Google Feb 2017: Wish I had lived here sooner.
Fastest/best maintenance response I have seen.
Great location: as an engineering student, most of my classes are just across the street.
Visitor parking is sometimes hard to find. On the other hand, in two years of living here, only once have I spent more than a minute looking for parking.
Review from 2/11/17 on Google Dec 2016: Walls are paper thin, hard to find parking if you come back from campus after a long night of studying, and the staff is just flat out annoying with all the advertising and events they do. There's a reason why I didn't resign, and sending me 50,000 e-mails isn't going to change my mind. Also, you'll get a text or email threatening you to move your bike if you leave it under the stairs or else they'll take it, but some people have left their bikes thrown on the lawn for Months and nothings happened? 🤔 Oh yeah and I almost forgot, every Friday expect to be woken up by lawn mowers around 7:30 AM. Yes, even in DECEMBER, WHEN GRASS DOESNT GROW AND THERE'S NO REASON TO MOW A LAWN
Review from 12/21/16 on Google Feb 2016: Look at other apartment complexes. This place is way too overpriced for what you are getting and the prices are only going up. First of all, the walls here are paper thin. I live on the third floor in the back of the complex purposefully to get away from the noise and I can clearly hear peoples conversations in the parking lot. I can hear the people under me, next to me, and outside. It is located on the outskirts near Bryan and there are noisy houses behind the lot that constantly have parties. I have to call the police and file noise complaints almost every month because of it.
Also, the place is made very cheaply.
