Mar 2017: I was a previous employee at The Marc, I left because when I was walking other units I realized that every unit is COMPLETELY different than the model they show you. You have no idea what you are walking into. I had a leak in my kitchen for 6 months before it was actually fixed, I currently have a leak in my bathroom that has been leaking for a month. I am in Property management and this place made hate showing apartments and getting people to sign knowing they were going to get something that looked NOTHING like the model.
Review from 3/7/17 on Google Dec 2016: Pros:
Its pretty cheap for a by the bedroom lease on a 4 bed 2 bath
The bedrooms and living rooms are large (in the Fraternity).
They have office hours beyond M-F 9-5 so you can actually go to the office.
Cons:
The "renovations" that allegedly took place left in my apartment: nails, peeling paint, nearly non-existant caulk in the bathroom, stains, cracked linoleum, and absolutely abysmal water pressure.
Again, abysmal water pressure
Constantly there are bugs. First is was the summer gnats (everywhere in College Station so whatever), then the roaches (they kept treating each apartment separately so the roaches kept coming back), and now ants (in the walls).
Poor air ventilation
Review from 12/14/16 on Google Dec 2016: If you wanna try break-ins and the office tells you "we never guarantee safety, we never do."
Yeah, someone broke into my apartment and this is the response I got. I am moving out of this apartment even I know I have to pay for the next few months' rent. The office should be glad there is nothing bloody happened.
Review from 12/3/16 on Google Jun 2016: I am currently dealing with this place right now, I too tried to let them know that I would not be able to lease from them due to unfortunate circumstances and was told that I could not get out of the lease even though I let them know this in May and the lease doesn't start until August. I am reading the reviews and from my experience with them I know that the complaints are valid, they respond to the comments everyone makes like they are concerned and will resolve the problem but this to is a front.
Review from 6/14/16 on Google May 2016: WORST apartments ever. don't be fooled by their new management bull corn, it's the same people doing the same things they did when the complex was called campus view. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!! Horrible customer service, they will hang up on the phone with you if the conversation is not going their way and tack on hidden fees whenever possible.
Review from 5/27/16 on Google Nov 2015: Wow! I see from recent reviews that nothing has changed here. I feel sorry for all the people who unwittingly put their trust in this place. We have been moved out for 4 months and the nightmare still isn't over... And no one who has the decency to call or return emails to resolve our issues.
I would avoid this place at all costs. Shame on me for not doing more research before moving my son in here in August. If you are reading these reviews, please take them to heart before making your decision. It really is as bad as many have stated here.
Review from 11/22/15 on Google Nov 2015: I'm living in Campusview apartment for more than two months.
I strongly can say that this apartment is NOT SAFE at all.
1. SOMEBODY HACKED MY GOOGLE ACCOUNT through this apartment internet server.(IP address was same)
2. SOMEBODY INVADED into MY APARTMENT AROUND 4 AM.
Lastly, a maintenance guy came when I came back to my apartment, and he asked me about a/c problem. He told me somebody ordered to fix a/c and he told that he was in my apartment to check it when nobody was here, but my roommate and I didn't make the order.
If you find a place to live, consider security issue and at least if the office people is willing to help you.
Review from 11/16/15 on Google Oct 2015: These apartments are par for the course for College Station. Usual maintenance problems. Not the newest but not the oldest either. Price seems to be close to average - maybe a bit cheaper. A few positives do stand out. Our apartment was renovated over the summer and most of my friends that live at Campus View have had their's redone too. They did a really nice job on the makeover and our apartment looks pretty brand new. The location is also a bonus of living here. On the negative side, the staff seems overworked and understaffed. It takes them too long to respond when problems come up.
Review from 10/25/15 on Google Jun 2014: First, the location is fine, and its convenient for those people who doesnt own a car. Heb is close by, and there are so many ok restaurants nearby. Well thats all the good thing i can think about living in this apartment. the apartment is old. i can hear floor making noise, and sound from neighbors. There are always some kinds of bug (ants etc) walking in my apartment, and pest control only come during wednesday. Yea! only wednesday. The internet is free but sucks!!! its so slow. my grandma can walk faster than the internet. It took me minutes to load a page during night, dont even let me start with youtube. Sometimes, you have to refresh the page several times. . (apartment ratings 6/12/2014) Jun 2014: Campus View is hands down the best apartments for the money in College Station. It seems like there are 2 choices in CS ... either pay a ridiculous amount of rent and live the high life or pay cheap rent and live in a nasty run down complex. Campus View is one of the few exceptions, Rent is reasonable (not cheap but waaayy lower than the newest complexes) but the place is nice, clean, and has a very convenient location. I am happy that i choose to live here. (apartment ratings 6/10/2014) Mar 2014: I ve really enjoyed living in my apartment at CV. I ve lived in apts and houses in College Station and the managemnt and maintenance request responses are the fastest here of anywhere else. Any problem that has come up has been fixed within 1 or 2 days at most. Most other places I ve lived, it s taken a week or more best case. There have been some issues with the water that took longer. But i heard the issue is with the city's pipes, and isn't Campus View fault. The office staff are laid back and always willing to answer any questions that I have. Bottom line is that they are running this place more professionally than any other place I ve rented and that has made a big difference in my experience here. I also am a big fan of their amenities here. When the weather is nice, the pool is a great place to hang out. (apartment ratings 3/17/2014)
