Apr 2017: Moved to Arizona last year for work and I've been staying in Sky Water for about a year now, thinking whether I should renew my lease or not.
The good:
1. BEAUTIFUL surrounding area and décor of the apartment layout. I always love driving up to the apartment seeing the apartment front and the lake and amphitheater on the other side. (However, If you don't have one of the front apartment with the views then this really becomes just another apartment.)
2. Good location. In walking distance to Mill Ave. I'm not an ASU student but it's very convenient to be able to walk to Mill (or $5 uber) when I'm not feeling the hustle and bustle of Old Town. Also, some nice restaurants in the area as well. Since you're located close to ASU, there are also other needs relatively close by shopping centers (Tempe Marketplace), groceries, gyms.

Sep 2016: I just moved in and although I love the apartment and location, the management and leasing staff are disappointing to say the least. I have had many problems with them and their lack of communication and following through with what they say they will get done.

May 2016: Ok after reading all of the reviews here I felt I had to post a review to show my perspective on this complex.. First I have to say i love it!!! all of the views are amazing and its a great location!! So far everyone here has been super nice! yes the office staff may be at times less happy than others but after reading what all these pre-madonas have written on here it just goes to show the miserable people they have to deal dealwith and that probably explains why they might be not so happy at times......
For all those people complaining about the airplanes.......... uhm I'm pretty sure you had to know about it when you did your initial walk... so you knew what you were getting yourself in to.

Apr 2016: This complex is frat party central. For more mature residents, we are forced to deal with loud music and loud partying in the pool area, weekends are the worst - 3 am and still going strong. We have had to call the police twice, now supposedly there is an onsite team to shut down the parties, but nothing changes.
Residents just throw their trash in the trash room, or leave it outside for maintenance to deal with. After the weekend, the elevators and walkways are filthy with spilled liquids.
Unless you can find a place on the 4th floor, be prepared for constant noise from anyone who lives above you - and if you find a place on the 4th floor, be prepared for ground shaking airplane noise.

Mar 2016: Nice place to live and nice amenities. never really had a problem with the staff but the office hours are bad for those people that work long hours. a lot of times you see a sign at the door that says "we are on tour" and there is no one in the office to service you . I'm suppose to wait , paying that much i don't really see the value.

Oct 2015: Promised so much when I moved in, when actually so little in such a long time .. When they eventually opened their amenities they always seem to break down every other week . The promised 24 access has been cut down .. Key fobs hardly work .. Garages never seem to work either so property is always open to public .. Staff was extremely rude when we complained about any of these problems ..
The apartments them selves are quite nice other than some poor finishing .. Like staples in the carpet .. Creeking wood tiles and doors that don't lock after a few weeks .. Also some of my neighbors and I have found that our floors are slightly slanted when we saw our coffee tables shaking in certain corners ..

Aug 2015: Hi! After reading some of the negative reviews I have to give my input. Please take their comments with a grain of salt. Typically reviews are driven by bad experiences, not good ones. In my case I can honestly say it has overall been a very positive experience. No one has been trying to get more money out of me then I have already agreed to pay. They do remind you about the rent but they also let you know about new amenities and distribute necessary information when needed. I have noticed the trash chutes aren't cleaned out often enough and when I moved in the floor wasn't very clean but that's about all I can think of that is negative at the moment.

Jul 2015: Current resident and I really enjoy living here. The number of amenities and surrounding activities is awesome. The staff is very good.. considering the many things they are in charge of.
Update: after reading other reviews posted here. I feel the need to strengthen my testimony. I have found the many of the residents to be pleasant and the staff to be helpful and understanding when it comes to construction/completion of the building.
