Jul 2017: Exceeded my expectations regarding location, accommodation and efficient staff. There are many bus lines passing by N Scottsdale Rd and McKellips Rd. More peace and quiet (than in East Scottsdale) so you can focus in your studies but still a lot of college students living here. Review from Google
Jul 2017: Horrible. The low rents reflects the condition of the complex. However, that being said, it's outrageously overpriced -- we paid nearly 900 for a TINY studio apartment. Our electricity bill was nearly 40, even for the months we did not live there. All utilities are billed through Gateway, not SRP or other companies, donuts impossibly to know if billing is accurately reflecting usage. Tons of homeless/tweaking people wandering the property. We had ants everywhere. Our apartment was flooded at least three times a day (8pm, 9pm, 10pm and sometimes around 2 or 3 am). We repeatedly asked for Gateway to shut off the sprinkler in our backyard, but nothing was done. The flooding resulted in extreme water damage, humidity, and the foul smell of sewer that is smelled in everything, including ceramic plates, which I didn't think was feasible. Nov 2016: I am impressed with the staff at Scottsdale Gateway Apartments. They are very friendly, knowledgeable and promptly take care of my concerns. Review from 11/30/16 on Apartment Ratings
Oct 2016: XXXX and XXXX are awesome! XXXX is also very understanding and actively listens to any concerns or questions I have. The community is always well kept. I searched through several different apartments and three apps before deciding on Scottsdale Gateway. I made the right decision and I still feel confident of that a year later. May 2016: I lived here for a year and a half. I actually read my lease, so I knew what to expect. I had to break my lease early and they were very helpful but had to stick to their policies which I understood. The staff was exceptional to me throughout my time there and any issues I had (which were minimal) were taken care of promptly. Overall... the rent is affordable the units are in good condition the complex is maintained decently the staff is friendly and nice the pools and gym are nice (spa isn't) it is close to ASU/202/101/Tempe/Oldtown Based on my experience, I would highly recommend it relative to the area. YALL ARE A BUSINESS, ACT LIKE ONE. THIS ISNT HIGH SCHOOL. EXPECT PEOPLE TO GET MAD WHEN THEY DONT GET THERE MONEY... Review from 3/27/16 on Google
Oct 2015: Overall everything is good! The apartment was a dirty when I moved in, the painter splattered paint in many places. The bedroom rug was still wet, now it has a funky smell and it's still dirty. The plumping here has had a few issues, such as doing the dishes and ending up with lettuce and pasta sauce in my bathroom tub. The other day I used the dish washer and my sink had the water from the dishwasher in it. Review from 10/20/15 on Apartment Ratings
May 2015: I leased a studio for here for 5 months while my house was under renovation. It was essentially a storage unit with a shower. It was cheap and conveniently located just up the street from my work. Over 5 months, my dog and I spent the night 3 times. I never once turned on the stove or dishwater, and only kept water in the refrigerator. I never touched the thermostat. Over the last 3 months, I only went by on the 1st to pay rent and grab a load boxes to bring back to the house. My walk thru was scheduled on Monday, March 2nd although my lease didn't technically end until the 5th. On Sunday, we went to clear out the remaining boxes, sweep, and wipe everything down. Mar 2015: BEWARE OF THIS PROPERTY Leasing office does not know what they are talking about, they will quote you on one thing but then change their minds causing you to look like you made up information. Manager has no idea on how to handle problems and only tells you what she is scripted to say. They will STEAL your money! Do not count on getting your deposit back. Also do not ever think your rent will go down from what you sign on your first lease. Manager will not allow it. It will only go up even though everything in the apartment depreciates in cost. Maintenance is a joke, they have changed their staff twice since the 10 months we've been here and they seem to just hire anyone. Review from 3/9/15 on Apartment Ratings
Sep 2013: DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! It can be tempting because the apartments are pretty good for the price, but it is not worth dealing with the management company. First, we were given inaccurate information by Christine when we asked for itemized costs of living here on our tour. She also told us that our unit would be "just like" the tour unit. On the day we went to sign our lease and move in, additional costs were piled on in our lease (almost $50 per month over the numbers she had given us), and the huge storage closet that we had seen on our first-floor unit tour was entirely taken up by a ventilation system on the second floor, so the storage we had counted on was gone! We had our stuff packed up and out of the former apartment and had no choice but to move forward with the move-in. Review from 9-20-2013 on Google
Aug 2012: Have lived here for about 1 year and my husband and I are very satisfied. Whenever we have needed to get anything repaired or had a problem it was addressed promptly. The parking lot, grounds and pools are also very well kept. Sometimes there are parties at nearby apartments, but we feel that the noise is kept down pretty well. Also, we have had a few bug problems, but with the help of management spraying every Tuesday and once we set up a few roach motels, we have no problem. can't beat the location!
