The selection of apartments near Arizona State University (ASU) in Tempe is one of the largest in the country, mainly because it is the largest campus of the largest college in the US.
The first step in your apartment search is to know which campus you will be going to most often. There are four differenct campuses in the greater Phoenix area; Tempe, West, Polytechnic, and Downtown. The most common is the Tempe campus, so this is where most ASU apartments are. No worry through there is a ASU transit system between the campuses, and with the Phoenix bus and light rail system a large portion of the city is within commuting distance.
At the ASU Tempe campus, you find a few clusters of apartments. To the West are the high rise apartment buildings, to the East are the older, and typical apartments, and to the North you have some newer apartments built on Tempe Town Lake. This said, with so many students you find apartments in all directions of ASU, and with the Orbit the area for commuting is large.
