Mar 2021: They discriminate against african americans. My friend and I came in today and I asked a very specific question because they had a listing up for 2 bedroom and 2 bath that I could have put deposit, first month and a couple more months down...but as soon as they saw me, whoever was in the leasing office did not answer the specific question, said that they are leasing for the august year evening though the listing I saved has been on the market for the last 3 months. My friend saw them peeking out the window at house because we were trying to call the property to talk to someone else about the listing. The older man came outside to see if we were out there and acted like he was just looking around, but I am pretty sure I was discriminated against . So if you’re an African American with money but don’t look like...BEWARE. they do not want us here. Sep 2019: I visited Beau Chene because that's where our fantasy football draft was being held. I got Barkley, McCaffrey, Mahomes, and Brees. Review from Google Aug 2019: This place is phenomenal for its price. The property owner Jeff and his staff truly care for the well-being of the residents. I've never had to wait long for anything to be fixed. They have created a welcoming environment for all and especially with the good students discount, this is the best value for any properties in Baton Rouge. Review from Google Aug 2019: No words to explain how good is this place. Mr. Jeff is awesome. If you ever have any issue, just let him know, it will take just few hours. Flexibility, cleanliness..... no words.....Apartments are great. Moreover, GpA discount for LsU students. Affordable price and great experience and no regrets. Review from Google Jun 2017: Such great neighbors and beautiful apartments. Very close to anything you could ever need to get to and very helpful workers on site. Review from Google Apr 2017: This is a great place to live. Close to campus, on the bus route, well-maintained, safe area, great value. Apr 2017: Beau Chene condominiums is an excellent place to stay while enjoying your college experience at LSU or any other surrounding school. The management and staff is nothing short of spectacular. They truly strive to create a homely environment via prompt responses to maintenance issues as well as personal help for special situations (i.e. being locked out of your apartment). As far as the units themselves, they are perfect for college students as well as the young adult demographic. The units have been maintained very well, and some of the features include ample closet space as well as cutting edge appliances. The complex as a whole includes features such as a pool and nearness to a multitude of excellent restaurants.Additionally, the Beau Chene community provides a friendly environment where there is respect for neighbors (i.e. respect for quiet Review from Google Jan 2017: I've lived at LSUs on campus apartments, the cottages, and campus crossing northgate. People have bad experiences at all of these mostly coming down to roaches and poor maintenance. Cottages even worse is known for mold and a shooting. Beau Chene however, is incredible.
You get wayyy more space for less money. You can basically afford a 1 bedroom for the same price as sharing a living space at other places. You get a nice garden style pool that is rarely used by others. I've never needed to submit a maintenance request because the units are well built and maintained. My favorite part is the units have concrete barriers between the walls so you never have loud neighbors or have to worry about being a loud neighbor. I even have a FIREPLACE! Location is right next to American Market (best cajun turkey poboy- i live off of these) so you can get Review from Google Feb 2016: In Baton Rouge, you pretty much get what you pay for. After living at Campus Crossings on Brightside for a year, I thought this would be a step down, but I'm paying like $60 less a month here for bigger rooms, faster work order responses, and an a really good internet plan (not included).
I'm writing this review today because I called in about my ac not working, and Jeff (the owner) came in literally 30 minutes later to check it out, and I believe it is actually working. At Campus Crossings, we had our AC broken for about a week or two.
If you're not really concerned with having a super luxurious outside and would prefer a better apartment on the inside, and want to save a lot on rent, Beau Chene is definitely a good choice. Review from Google
