Georgia Southern (GSU) apartments are mainly located near the Southern half of campus. To the Southeast of GSU there are a good number of student focused apartments within walking distance. If not within walking distance there is a Georgia Southern bus system which makes getting around easy (http://auxiliary.georgiasouthern.edu/parking/campus-transit/).
Since Georgia Southern is located in a small town, Statesboro, all apartments in the city are within commuting distance to the University. In general the off campus apartment choices near Georgia Southern are good, with a higher mix of student focused communities, compared to other universities. There has been a pretty strong push in recent years for the large student community companies to buy communities and transition them to a full student focus. A lot of the reason for such a focus on students is due to the large size of Georgia Southern relative to Statesboro.
